Universities buy research platforms: the Unitree G1 humanoid from USD 13,500, the Franka arm for about EUR 25,000, and the open SO-101 in parts for about USD 230.
Most robots in Polish hospitals work where a surgeon needs a third and fourth hand, and a stroke patient needs a first step.
A store where a robot mops the floor and a machine hands over your parcel is no longer futurology, but it is not a humanoid standing at the till.
In the lab, repeatability counts: from 5 micrometers (Meca500) to ±0.1 mm (Franka Research 3), with prices starting at about PLN 890 (≈ EUR 205) (SO-101).
Guide
Service robots are a category of machines designed to work in direct contact with customers — in restaurants, hotels, office buildings and retail outlets. The most recognizable application is robots that carry dishes to the table, but the category also covers reception robots, delivery robots inside office buildings and disinfection platforms, which gained popularity in recent years.
In Poland this is the fastest-growing segment of all service robotics categories — more and more restaurant chains and hotels are testing order-delivery robots, mainly because of staff shortages at peak hours and rising labor costs. On this page we have gathered the models available from Polish distributors, together with tray/basket payload, battery runtime, navigation method (LiDAR, SLAM mapping) and the purchase or rental price.
Models differ above all in the number of transport trays, payload per tray, operating noise (important in intimate restaurants) and the way they interact with the customer — from a simple display with an animated face to voice messages and an interactive touchscreen. Filter the table below by price and type of use to find a model that fits the size and character of your venue.
Start by measuring the narrowest aisles in your venue — it is the most common reason a deployment fails. Most robots need at least 60–80 cm of clear aisle width and a floor without large thresholds or unevenness, on which LiDAR navigation loses precision.
Consider buying versus renting (a monthly subscription) — with seasonal traffic (for example holiday venues, hotels with a clear season) renting can be financially better than tying up capital in ownership. Also check whether the supplier offers local service support in Poland — a robot with a software fault and no Polish-language support can cause downtime that is harder to resolve than the fault itself.
Pay attention to integration with the POS/ordering system in your venue — some models offer ready-made plugins for popular restaurant systems, others require staff to set the route to the table by hand. Finally, ask about the real noise level of the motors and wheels — in intimate interiors it can matter more than the robot's stated top speed.
Buying guide
Our listing of service robots contains 38 models from 27 manufacturers. The majority, 33 models, are on regular sale. The rest are two models withdrawn from production (Pepper among them), two in pilots and one prototype. We have confirmed sales in Poland through domestic distributors for nine models, roughly one in four. The rest are American, Asian or European offers with no Polish seller, which means buying one involves import, customs duty, VAT and servicing on your own.
The purchase prices we could establish range from about PLN 17,000 (≈ EUR 3,890) (the temi V3 telepresence robot) to about PLN 208,000 (≈ EUR 47,580) (the industrial Gausium Scrubber 50 Pro floor scrubber). For light waiter robots the range is much narrower: from about PLN 27,100 (≈ EUR 6,200) for the Keenon DinerBot T8 to about PLN 55,000 (≈ EUR 12,580) for the Pudu HolaBot. Some prices are conversions from US dollars at about PLN 3.8762 per USD, so treat them as indicative. When we know a price from a Polish shop, we give it separately and say so in the model description.
The market is mature in only a few niches: carrying food in hospitality and cleaning large floor areas. Reception and companion robots (Pepper, Wakamaru, Sophia) are mostly history, pilots or trade-fair exhibits. If someone sells a "robot receptionist" meant to replace a person at the desk, ask for references from sites where it is actually running.
Waiter and delivery robots carry dishes, drinks and used crockery around the dining room. This is the largest group: Pudu Robotics (BellaBot, PuduBot 2, HolaBot, KettyBot Pro), Keenon Robotics (DinerBot T5 and T8), Bear Robotics (Servi) and LG Electronics (ServeBot). You will find more on how they work in restaurants and hotels in “Service Robots in Restaurants and Hotels”.
Commercial cleaning robots are scrubbers and vacuums for halls, shopping centres and office buildings, such as the Pudu CC1, Gausium Scrubber 50 Pro, LionsBot R3 Vac, SoftBank Robotics Whiz and Avidbots Neo 2. They differ in throughput (Avidbots quotes up to 3,900 m² per hour) and in billing model. We describe the details in “Commercial Cleaning Robots in Practice”.
Reception, information and telepresence robots: the temi V3, LG CLOi GuideBot and PAL Robotics ARI. They guide guests, display information and connect to a remote person. Their real value depends on footfall and on well-prepared content.
Outdoor and urban delivery robots (Starship, Serve Robotics, Coco) operate on pavements, mainly in the USA. We have not confirmed their offer in Poland.
Research and humanoid platforms (for example the PAL Robotics TIAGo and Mirokaï) are counted as service robots because of their stated uses, but they are sold per project and without a public price list.
Start with a tape measure. Manufacturers state a minimum aisle width, and a robot with four trays is noticeably wider than a compact one. The Pudu HolaBot has four trays and 120 litres of capacity, so it needs more room than the discreet Keenon DinerBot T8, which weighs 34 kg. Thresholds, rugs and changes of level are the most common reason deployments fail.
The stated payload is usually the total for all trays. The Pudu BellaBot and PuduBot 2 carry 40 kg each, the Pudu HolaBot up to 60 kg, the Keenon DinerBot T8 20 kg. Check what a single tray can take and whether the shelves fit your tableware.
In manufacturers' data we see runtimes from about 3 hours (SoftBank Whiz, Gausium Scrubber 50 Pro), through 12 hours (Bear Robotics Servi, Keenon DinerBot T5), up to 24 hours (Pudu HolaBot). Ask how much of that is a claim for an empty robot and how much is working with a load. For scrubbers, tank capacity matters too.
The models available in Poland are sold by a handful of domestic distributors. Ask about service response time, the parts stock and whether you get a replacement robot during a breakdown. With direct import, that support simply will not exist.
American price lists often give both options, for example the LionsBot R3 Vac from USD 13,000 or USD 369 a month. In Poland the Keenon C30 is offered for rent from PLN 2,390 (≈ EUR 545) net a month on a 12-month contract (PLN 3,990 (≈ EUR 915) with no commitment, plus PLN 200 (≈ EUR 46) a month for consumables), and the PuduBot 2 for rent from PLN 990 (≈ EUR 225) a month. Count the cost over the whole period of use. “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost” can help: it is about humanoids, but the structure of the calculation is the same.
In a small restaurant a robot with a speaker and a screen "with a face" can be an attraction; in an elegant dining room it can be an obstacle. Ask for a demonstration in your own room and switch off the sounds you do not want.
Robots with cameras record guests and staff. Before you deploy one, read “Data Security: Robots with Cameras and the GDPR” and establish what goes to the manufacturer's cloud.
Up to about PLN 20,000 (≈ EUR 4,570). The temi V3 (from USD 4,499, about PLN 17,400 (≈ EUR 3,980)) is a reception and telepresence robot. We have not confirmed a Polish distributor. Renting the Keenon C30 costs from PLN 2,390 (≈ EUR 545) net a month.
PLN 25,000–55,000 (≈ EUR 5,720–12,580): waiter robots. The Keenon DinerBot T8 (about PLN 27,100 (≈ EUR 6,200) at US prices, valued higher by a Polish seller), the PuduBot 2 (PLN 42,900 (≈ EUR 9,810) gross in Poland), the Pudu KettyBot Pro (about PLN 54,300 (≈ EUR 12,420)), the Pudu BellaBot (about PLN 56,200 (≈ EUR 12,860)), the Pudu BellaBot Pro (PLN 54,900 (≈ EUR 12,560) gross from a Polish distributor) and the Pudu HolaBot (PLN 55,500 (≈ EUR 12,700) gross). This is the core of the Polish market.
Above PLN 70,000 (≈ EUR 16,010): cleaning and guiding guests. The Pudu CC1 (PLN 73,700 (≈ EUR 16,860) gross, leasing from PLN 785 (≈ EUR 180) net a month), the SoftBank Robotics Whiz (about PLN 96,900 (≈ EUR 22,170)), the LionsBot R3 Scrub Pro (about PLN 121,100 (≈ EUR 27,700)), the LG CLOi GuideBot (about PLN 155,000 (≈ EUR 35,460)), and the Avidbots Neo 2 and Gausium Scrubber 50 Pro (about PLN 207,800–207,800 (≈ EUR 47,530–47,530)). For Avidbots the figure is a USD 50,000 deployment fee plus USD 6,000 a year, not a classic purchase.
Differences between sellers are large. For the DinerBot T5 we know prices of PLN 35,900 (≈ EUR 8,210) and PLN 61,500 (≈ EUR 14,070) from two Polish sources. Always ask for a written quote.
We have not found a grant programme tailored to this segment for service robots. The robotisation tax relief applies to industrial robots that meet four statutory criteria (including multitasking and integration with production systems), so a waiter robot is unlikely to qualify. Leave the final assessment to a tax adviser, though; we describe the mechanism in “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”.
In practice the most common solutions are operating leases or rental, which lower the entry threshold. Regional and European programmes for SMEs change from one call to the next. We have not confirmed any current calls covering service robots, so check the latest announcements on mapadotacji.gov.pl.
The simple calculation goes like this: compare the robot's annual cost (a rental or leasing instalment, or a purchase spread over several years, plus servicing and consumables) with the hours your staff spend today on carrying and cleaning. In the Keenon C30 example, a 12-month rental is PLN 28,680 (≈ EUR 6,560) net plus PLN 2,400 (≈ EUR 550) for consumables, so about PLN 31,000 (≈ EUR 7,090) in the first year. A robot pays back where the room is large, the traffic steady and staff really lose time over distance. In a small venue with eight tables the effect will be more about image than money, and it is worth saying so honestly before you sign. Manufacturers like to show savings, but we know of no independent studies from Polish venues. That is why you should ask for a trial period.
Every price in the listing has a source and a date. We treat prices from Polish shops and distributors as more important than American ones, and we mark conversions from dollars. When a manufacturer or seller gives only an "individual quote", we say so plainly and do not estimate a price. Models that fail our quality check (for example, no reliable product data) do not make it into the listing. You will find the full rules on the methodology page. If you spot an error, write to us and we will correct it with a note.
Restaurants and cafés will find answers in the restaurant section, hotels in hotels, and shops and shopping centres in retail. If you are buying a transport robot for a warehouse, see the mobile robots category. For hire for a one-off event, “Renting a Humanoid Robot for an Event” will be useful.
Basic models that carry dishes to the table cost from roughly PLN 10,000 (≈ EUR 2,290)-plus to a little over PLN 30,000 (≈ EUR 6,860) to buy, and some suppliers also offer a subscription model (monthly rental) instead of a one-off purchase.
In practice in Poland they most often relieve staff of repetitive, physically demanding tasks — carrying plates over long distances, delivering orders across a large dining room — rather than replacing customer service, which needs contact and flexibility.
Depending on the model and load, typical runtime is from a few to a dozen or so hours, and most robots in this class can return to a docking station on their own and recharge between jobs.
Manufacturers usually state a minimum aisle width (most often 60–80 cm) and a minimum floor area at which robot navigation makes economic sense — in very cramped venues with narrow gaps between tables the robot may have nowhere to maneuver.
The market is dominated by the Chinese companies Pudu Robotics and Keenon Robotics, whose models are also sold or rented out by Polish distributors — alongside them operate smaller manufacturers specializing in particular niches (reception, disinfection, delivery in office buildings).
In the Polish offers we checked, gross prices run from about PLN 42,900 (≈ EUR 9,810) (PuduBot 2) to about PLN 55,500 (≈ EUR 12,700) (Pudu HolaBot). For the DinerBot T5 we know two Polish offers: PLN 35,900 (≈ EUR 8,210) and PLN 61,500 (≈ EUR 14,070). The gaps are large, so ask for a written quote.
For uncertain traffic or a seasonal venue, renting lowers the entry threshold. For example, the Keenon C30 rents for PLN 2,390 (≈ EUR 545) net a month on a 12-month contract, and the Pudu CC1 is offered on lease from PLN 785 (≈ EUR 180) net a month. For multi-year use, calculate the cost of the whole period.
No. Waiter robots carry dishes and used crockery, but they do not take orders or handle payments. They relieve staff of carrying; they do not replace contact with the guest.
The relief applies to industrial robots that meet four statutory criteria, including multitasking and integration with production systems. A waiter robot is unlikely to meet them, but leave the final assessment to a tax adviser.
We have confirmed sales in Poland for nine of the 38 models in the listing, mainly from Pudu and Keenon. The others require import, with customs duty, VAT and servicing on your own.
Manufacturers quote from about 3 hours (commercial scrubbers and vacuums), through 12 hours (Bear Servi, Keenon DinerBot T5), to 24 hours (Pudu HolaBot). These are stated values, so ask about running with a load.
