In line with the recommendations of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) on labeling commercial content, we explain plainly where Robolupa's revenue may come from and how it does or does not affect what you see on the site.
1. Affiliate links
Today we have no agreement with any shop or affiliate network and we receive no commission for clicks. We nevertheless already label links to shops as potentially
affiliate (a rel="sponsored" attribute, in line with search engines' technical guidelines, plus a note next to the link) so the rules are clear from the start. Once we sign
a first affiliate programme (for example through a network such as Awin or Admitad, or directly with a shop), we may receive a commission from the seller for a purchase made after a click. The commission comes from
the seller's margin — it does not affect the price you pay. This page will then be updated with the date and the name of the programme. We append the parameter utm_source=robolupa to links that lead to shops, so that the seller can see where the visitor came from; the parameter contains no personal data.
2. The integrator directory
The directory of integrators and deployment companies is informational. We charge no fees for listings or for forwarding inquiries. You can send an inquiry about deploying a robot through the inquiry form; the editors pass it on to selected companies only with the user's consent, free of charge on both sides. If that changes, we will describe it here before the change takes effect. The order of companies in the list does not depend on fees — the criteria are described in the methodology.
3. Sponsorship and manufacturer collaborations
We do not rule out paid collaborations with manufacturers or distributors in the future (for example a sponsored article or a featured spot in a category overview). Any such content will be unambiguously labeled "Sponsored article" or "Advertising collaboration" right next to the content, in line with UOKiK requirements — never hidden within editorial content. Sponsorship never affects technical data or the assessments on model pages, which remain based solely on the sources described in the methodology.
4. Display advertising
There are currently no ads on the site. If we show display ads through an ad network in the future, they will be clearly separated from editorial content and labeled as advertising (and described in the Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy before they appear).
5. What we do not do
We do not accept payment for a positive rating or a higher ranking position without explicit labeling as "Advertisement/Sponsored" — hidden paid rankings are prohibited by the Polish consumer rights act as amended by the Omnibus Directive, and we would not use them regardless of the legal requirement. We do not sell user data.
6. Questions
Questions about a specific commercial collaboration or the status of a specific link can be sent to editor@robolupa.com.
We update this document with every change to the funding model.
