At USD 13,500 (net, before customs and shipping), the base-version Unitree G1 is one of the cheapest full-size humanoids on the market from a publicly listed company, and it shows in the number of compromises.

The robot stands 132 cm tall (69 cm folded), weighs 35 kg and has 23 degrees of freedom (6 in the leg, 5 in the arm, 1 in the waist), a 3D LiDAR and an RGB-D depth camera, an 8-core processor and a 9,000 mAh battery with quick release (13S, hot-swap). Payload is limited to 2 kg and runtime to about 2 hours.

The EDU variant with full SDK access is available only by quotation request ("contact sales"), so the real price of the development version remains unknown. Compared with the more expensive UBTECH Walker S2, the G1 is much cheaper, but offers a lower payload and no documented industrial deployments at factory scale.

You will also come across a separate listing, "G1 Standard, without SDK," with an almost identical specification; most likely these are two sources describing the same base variant, so it is worth reading the data together rather than separately. In Poland, distribution is handled by, among others, flystore.pl and x-kom.pl.

Price and availability in Poland

Price in Poland from 79,900 PLN (≈ EUR 18,280) 4 offers from Polish retailers · as of 28 September 2026

Lowest price at a Polish shop (deltarobots.com, 2026-09-27); the manufacturer's USD price (USD 13,500, before tax and duty) is lower because it excludes VAT, customs duty and the seller's margin. Base version, excluding tax and shipping. EDU variant on request only ("Contact sales").

Running and deployment costs

Purchase: Unitree's list price is USD 13,500 net, or about PLN 52,329 (≈ EUR 11,970) at the rate of 3.8762 from 1 October 2026, excluding tax and shipping. In Polish shops we see different amounts: Basic at PLN 99,000 (≈ EUR 22,650) (x-kom, Ceneo, Botland, September 2026), PLN 79,900 (≈ EUR 18,280) at Delta Robots, EDU-U1 for about PLN 149,912 (≈ EUR 34,290), EDU-U2 for PLN 189,999–190,000 (≈ EUR 43,460–43,460), EDU-U3 (Edu Ultimate A) for PLN 250,000 (≈ EUR 57,190). The gap against the list price is clear; presumably it is made up of VAT, customs duty and the distributor's margin (as an estimate, since the sources do not break it down). Operation: a second battery is practically a necessity for work longer than 2 hours, and we have no price for it; service locally through distributors. Training: the team needs a programmer with experience in Python and reinforcement learning (estimated at a few weeks).

Applications

What it's for

The G1 is a humanoid that broke the price barrier: the base model costs USD 13,500 net, and still has 23 degrees of freedom, a three-dimensional LiDAR and an RGB-D depth camera. It stands 132 cm tall (69 cm folded), weighs 35 kg and carries 2 kg. Applications: in Polish laboratories and universities, where it is a natural platform for learning control and perception, available off the shelf in shops. At trade shows and events: the robot walks, waves and makes an impression, and 33bots offers G1 rental with a certified operator, which we describe in the article “Renting a Humanoid Robot for an Event”. In corporate innovation departments: the G1 lets you build a proof of concept with reinforcement learning, and first demos for management get 2 hours of operation on a single battery (swappable, hot-swap, 9,000 mAh). For schools, universities, events and laboratories it is one of the most rational options. For work in a factory or warehouses the G1 is unsuitable: a 2 kg payload and no documented industrial deployments at factory scale say plainly that this is a development robot.

Who it's for

Makes sense for: universities, technical schools, R&D teams and show creators who want a humanoid without a budget in the region of a million zloty; event organizers (most often through rental); companies exploring whether humanoids make sense in their processes. Who it is not for: firms counting on a robot for shift work, since runtime is about 2 hours and payload 2 kg; users who need safety certifications for working alongside people; anyone sensitive about data, because in 2025 researchers disclosed numerous vulnerabilities in Unitree robots (see “Data Security: Robots with Cameras and the GDPR”). A word on variants: the base version does not give full SDK access; that comes with the EDU variants, Unitree G1 EDU. Before you choose, read “Unitree H1, G1, R1 and H2” and check in “How to Read a Robot Datasheet” how to interpret the manufacturer's claims.

Deployments

Confirmed uses of the G1 are mainly education, research and shows: Polish sellers point to industry, education and logistics as target customers (flystore.pl), and 33bots rents out the G1 for events and trade fairs with a certified operator. Industrial deployments at factory scale are not documented. As for Poland: concrete names of end customers are absent; there are no confirmed deployments in Poland beyond event rental and availability for sale. We describe the market for humanoids in factories in the article “Humanoid Robots in Factories 2026” and the Polish ecosystem of companies in “Polish Robotics Companies”.

Comparison

The closest alternative on price is the Unitree R1: 123 cm, 29 kg, 26 DOF, from USD 4,900 (Air) and USD 5,900 (Standard), less than half the price of the G1 and a good start for a school. The bigger brother is the Unitree H2: 180 cm, 70 kg, 31 DOF and a list price of USD 29,900, intended for more serious tasks. For the best-funded laboratories there is the Unitree H1 (180 cm, 47 kg, USD 90,000, walking speed of 3.3 m/s). Outside Unitree: the AgiBot Lingxi X2 (130 cm, 35 kg, 25 DOF, about USD 13,800), the Noetix N2 (18 DOF, about USD 7,250 on average) and the Booster T1 (118 cm, 30 kg). If you care about a home robot rather than a research one, look at the 1X NEO: a different purpose, a similar price, but not officially available in Poland.

History

Unitree of Hangzhou (founded in 2016) showed the H1 humanoid in April 2024, and in May 2024 presented the production G1 at a price from about USD 16,000; sales began in August 2024, already at the lower price of USD 13,500. In January 2025 the G1 appeared at CES in Las Vegas, alongside the Go2, H1 and other models. In August 2025 the company introduced the R1, the cheapest full-size humanoid, and in October 2025 the H2. In September 2025 researchers disclosed vulnerabilities in Unitree robots, including the G1. In March 2026 Unitree filed for a listing on the Shanghai stock exchange; in August 2026 the company debuted on the STAR Market, its the opening price was 629% above the offer price, and it raised about USD 905 million. At the same time, in June 2026 the US Department of Defense added Unitree to its list of companies linked to the Chinese military, and in July the FCC imposed import restrictions on its products in the US.
