A comparison of the Unitree G1 and the Unitree H1. Unitree Robotics sells several humanoids and the names are easy to mix up. Unitree G1 and Unitree H1 are two separate designs from different years, of different sizes and with prices an order of magnitude apart. So the first question is not “which is better” but “what do I need it for”. We set them side by side in numbers, spec sheet in hand (“How to Read a Robot Datasheet”), and check prices in Polish shops.

Design and specifications
The H1, first shown in 2023, is the larger and heavier machine: 180 cm tall and 47 kg, against 132 cm and 35 kg for the G1. The degrees of freedom (DOF) run the opposite way to what size suggests: the G1 Standard has 23 (6 per leg, 5 per arm and 1 in the waist), the H1 has 18 (5 per leg and 4 per arm). What “Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots” mean is covered separately; here the G1’s edge in the torso and arms is plain. The manufacturer quotes a measured speed of 3.3 m/s and a theoretical 5 m/s, although nobody has independently confirmed the second figure. Peak torque density is 189 N·m/kg, the battery 864 Wh at 67.2 V, and the processor an Intel Core i5 (i7 in the developer version). The G1 walks more slowly, at about 2 m/s, has knee torque of up to 90 N·m, a 9000 mAh 13S battery with fast hot-swapping and runs for roughly 2 hours. Its payload is 2 kg. For the H1 the manufacturer states neither payload nor runtime, so those parameters cannot be compared honestly. Both robots carry a 3D LiDAR and a depth camera. Behind the torque figures stand “Actuators in Humanoid Robots”.
Price and availability in Poland
Officially the base G1 costs USD 13,500 net, before customs and shipping, which at 3.8762 zloty to the dollar comes to about PLN 52,300 (≈ EUR 11,960). The H1 is priced in the Unitree shop at USD 90,000, or about PLN 348,900 (≈ EUR 79,810); according to some sources the real price is set individually. In Poland the figures differ: customs, VAT, shipping and margin are added. At the end of September 2026 the G1 Basic was listed at PLN 99,000 (≈ EUR 22,650) at Botland and in the x-kom range (also on the Ceneo comparison site) and at PLN 79,900 (≈ EUR 18,280) at Delta Robots. The H1 appeared at Botland for PLN 439,000 (≈ EUR 100,420). Two Polish offers for the same robot thus differ by more than PLN 145,000 (≈ EUR 33,170), so ask several suppliers. These are listing prices, not invoices, and it is not always clear whether they include VAT. A full cost-of-ownership calculation is laid out in “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”, and a broader price overview is in “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”.
Which model for which job
The G1 is a sensible choice for universities and laboratories settings where a team is only starting with humanoids and must show first results quickly. The Standard version has no SDK access and is suited mainly to demonstrations; for your own code you need the EDU variant, and we describe the differences in the comparison of Unitree G1 EDU with Unitree G1. The compact body also fits events and schools. The H1 was built for locomotion research and record-speed demonstrations. We would not recommend it for a factory: without a documented payload and runtime you cannot plan a single task. Real industrial deployments are described in “Humanoid Robots in Factories 2026”.
Conclusion
The gap starts with size and weight. The G1 stands 132 cm tall and weighs 35 kg, while the H1 is clearly bigger at 180 cm and 47 kg, which puts it in a different class of use. The H1 has a documented walking speed of 3.3 m/s and an 864 Wh battery; for the base G1 those figures are missing from the sources, because the manufacturer does not state them outright. The G1 wins on degrees of freedom in the Standard configuration (23) and on price: USD 13,500 (about PLN 52,329 (≈ EUR 11,970)) against USD 90,000 (about PLN 348,900 (≈ EUR 79,810)) for the H1. The G1 is a demonstration and development robot for smaller budgets; the H1 is aimed at research and walking-speed records, and Unitree showcased it in running demos. For a team just starting out with humanoids and watching costs, the G1 is the natural choice. The H1 makes sense where dynamic motion and the prestige of a demonstration matter more than everyday work.
A team starting out with humanoids and watching its budget should choose the G1. In dollars it costs almost seven times less, has more degrees of freedom and a known runtime; anyone who wants to write their own code should budget for the EDU from the start. A lab studying fast walking, running and motion dynamics has a case for the H1, but remember that in Unitree’s lineup the flagship role has passed to the Unitree H2, which is cheaper in dollars and more elaborate. Anyone looking for a robot to work on a factory floor will not find it in either of these two models.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Unitree H1 faster than the G1?
Unitree quotes a walking speed of 3.3 m/s for the H1. For the G1 there is no comparable, confirmed figure, so a reliable numerical comparison isn't possible.
Which model is cheaper?
The G1 Standard costs about USD 13,500, roughly six times less than the H1, which is priced at USD 90,000.
Are both robots available in Poland?
Official distribution of neither robot in Poland is confirmed; purchases go through import from the manufacturer or resellers.
Which robot has more degrees of freedom?
The G1 Standard has 23 DOF, the H1 has 18. The G1 EDU reaches as many as 43 DOF.
How much do the G1 and H1 cost in Poland?
In late September 2026 the G1 Basic was listed at PLN 79,900–99,000 (≈ EUR 18,280–22,650), the H1 at PLN 439,000 (≈ EUR 100,420) (Botland). Listing prices, not guaranteed current.
Which model should I pick to start with?
For most teams the G1: far cheaper, smaller, with a documented runtime of about 2 hours. The H1 suits research into walking dynamics.
