The cheapest humanoid from China or a proven brand? That is the question from hobbyists, teachers, show organizers and universities on tight budgets who have seen the Noetix N2 online for a few thousand dollars and the Unitree G1 for USD 13,500. The first is a design from Beijing-based Noetix Robotics, known for second place in the first humanoid half marathon. The second is the most popular low-cost humanoid from Unitree Robotics, available in Polish shops. Price is not the only difference. It also matters whether the robot can be bought here at all, who will service it and what is actually known about its specifications.

Design and specifications
The base-version G1 stands 132 cm tall, weighs 35 kg and has 23 degrees of freedom (“Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots”): six in each leg, five in each arm and one in the waist. Onboard it has 3D LiDAR, an RGB-D depth camera, an eight-core processor and a 9000 mAh quick-release battery. Payload is 2 kg and runtime about 2 hours.
The N2 has 18 degrees of freedom, clearly fewer. The manufacturer gives a speed of up to 3.5 m/s (12.6 km/h), a swappable battery for about 2 hours of work and an open Linux platform on an RK3588s processor. It does not state height, weight or payload, so the robot's size and manipulation ability cannot be compared with the G1 in numbers. For the base G1 no walking speed is declared; the Unitree G1 EDU version walks at up to 2 m/s.
The N2's strongest argument is its run: in the humanoid half marathon in Beijing it covered 21 km in 3 hours 37 minutes and finished second. That is proof of mechanical endurance, but not proof that the robot can handle cables, doors or tabletop tasks. The G1 answers with a broader ecosystem: documentation, a community and an EDU version with a full SDK. A comparison of the whole family is in “Unitree H1, G1, R1 and H2”.
Price and availability in Poland
Here the N2 wins on paper. The manufacturer cites a range of USD 5,500–9,000, an average of USD 7,250, which at a rate of 3.8762 is about PLN 28,100 (≈ EUR 6,430). There is no fixed price list. The G1 costs USD 13,500 net (about PLN 52,300 (≈ EUR 11,960)), so the N2 is almost half the price, although the ranges overlap.
Polish shops show different numbers. The base G1 is offered by deltarobots.com (PLN 79,900 (≈ EUR 18,280)), Botland (PLN 99,000 (≈ EUR 22,650)) and x-kom (PLN 99,000 (≈ EUR 22,650)), among others, and EDU variants cost from about PLN 150,000 (≈ EUR 34,310) to 250,000. N2 availability in Poland is not confirmed, so you must add import, customs duty, 23% VAT and the absence of local service to the price. Before ordering the N2, ask for a written quote and delivery terms to Poland. A general cost calculation for a humanoid is in “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”.
Which model for which job
The manufacturer aims the N2 at the home, the classroom and senior care, but we know of no confirmed deployments. Realistically it makes sense where spectacle and a low entry barrier count: at events, at technical shows and in classes for advanced students, provided the teacher knows Linux and tests the robot personally.
The G1 fits schools and universities more broadly, because it has local sellers, documentation and rental firms: 33bots rents the G1 for events with a certified operator, which we describe in “Renting a Humanoid Robot for an Event”. Neither will replace a worker: 2 hours on a battery and 2 kg of payload (G1) rule out shift work.
Conclusion
The N2 stands out above all on price: $7,250 on average (a range of $5,500 to $9,000) against $13,500 for the G1, nearly half as much. On paper they look alike, but the G1 has 23 degrees of freedom to the N2's 18, and both run for a short two hours or so. The N2 walks slightly faster, at 3.5 m/s, and runs Linux on the cheaper RK3588s processor, while the G1 uses an eight-core CPU whose exact model isn't specified. Noetix promotes the N2 with sporting feats, most notably second place in a half marathon in Beijing, which suggests an emphasis on physical endurance rather than research programmability. The G1 has a longer market history and Unitree's wider ecosystem of developer tools. For an educational or hobbyist budget the N2 is the cheaper way in; for more serious research projects the G1 is the better choice.
A budget of around PLN 30,000 (≈ EUR 6,860), a team that can handle Linux on its own and accepts importing: the N2 is an interesting option, but buy only after a written offer and, ideally, a demonstration.
A school, university or event company that needs service, an invoice from a Polish shop and documentation: the G1. It costs many times more in zloty, but you get local support and a known platform. If the budget is smaller, also look at the smaller Unitree R1 and the competing Booster T1. The whole humanoid shelf is described in the humanoid robots category, and the N2's smaller sibling is the Noetix Bumi. Our advice: the N2 for the experimenter, the G1 for the institution.
