Summary

Let's start with the price, because the manufacturer simply gives little else. The AgiBot A2 Lite is a cut-down version of the A2 humanoid, sold in the own store of China's Zhiyuan Robotics (founded in 2023 by former Huawei engineers) for about USD 44,560, which at the 1 October 2026 exchange rate (3.8762) equals PLN 172,723 (≈ EUR 39,580).

It is the cheapest documented entry point into the AgiBot humanoid range; by comparison, the same company's flagship A2 Ultra has no publicly stated price at all, while the Unitree G1 in its base configuration costs clearly less. The manufacturer does not publish height, mass, degrees of freedom or battery parameters, and all of those fields remain empty because no independent source has confirmed them.

All that is known is that the robot has an electric drive and is intended mainly for research and educational uses. Strength: a relatively low entry price into the AgiBot brand. Weakness: the lack of any technical specification sheet makes it hard to judge real capabilities. The robot is not officially available in Poland, and information about a supplier has not been confirmed.

It is suited more to laboratories and universities following the platform's development than to industrial deployments.

Running and deployment costs

Price: about USD 44,560, or PLN 172,723 (≈ EUR 39,580) at the 1 October 2026 rate of 3.8762 (price source: a third-party page describing the AgiBot store). It is the cheapest documented entry point into AgiBot humanoids. Roughly, you should add: customs duty and 23% VAT on import, transport, a service reserve and the doctoral students' time for integration. We do not know running costs; a 691.2 Wh battery means low energy consumption over a year, so the main cost is hardware and people's work, not electricity. You can do the total calculation using “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”, and check competitors' prices in “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”. Public universities may finance such a purchase from research grants; direct questions about funding routes to the projects office.

Applications

What it's for

The AgiBot A2 Lite is a cut-down version of the A2 humanoid, sold in AgiBot's store for about USD 44,560. We start with the price because it is the only well-documented item. The model is intended for research and learning: our catalog points to research and education, and the field of use simply reads “research”. The parameters, according to the available sheet: 169 cm, 63 kg, 23 degrees of freedom, a payload of 1.5 kg, a 691.2 Wh battery for about 1.5 hours of operation, and a 16-core processor with no model given. These values have not been independently confirmed, and the manufacturer does not publish a full specification. We do not know the sensors or the load capacity at different arm positions. In short: this is a platform for learning and experiments, not for shift work. Uses in teaching are described in the article “Educational Robots for Schools and Universities”, and the categories of use are universities and laboratories. The terminology is explained in “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”.

Who it's for

Makes sense for: laboratories and universities that want to follow the AgiBot platform and have a budget for experimental hardware. Teams that accept the lack of full documentation and will measure parameters themselves.

Not a good choice for: companies looking for a robot to do work, because 1.5 hours on the battery and a 1.5 kg payload rule out real production. High schools and private individuals, since the price exceeds PLN 160,000 (≈ EUR 36,660). Buyers who need an official datasheet and service warranty in Poland: the supplier has not been confirmed. Those looking for the cheapest humanoid; the Unitree G1 in its base version costs clearly less. If you are torn between the A2 Lite and the more expensive A2, start with the question of purpose: for learning the Lite is enough, for demonstrations with a full sensor suite the full A2 is better.

Deployments

We also know of no documented deployment of the Lite version anywhere in the world; sales go through the company store for research and educational uses. At company level: in July 2025 AgiBot completed its first industrial deployment, but we do not attribute it to this model. In Poland, humanoids at universities are mainly Unitree models; we discuss them in “Unitree H1, G1, R1 and H2”. On robotics education: “How to Start Learning Robotics in Poland”. Anyone looking for examples of use in Poland will find them more often with the Unitree models than with AgiBot.

Comparison

The AgiBot A2 is the full variant, with more degrees of freedom (over 40) and a described sensor suite, but more expensive: from USD 54,999.

The Unitree G1 costs USD 13,500 (about PLN 52,329 (≈ EUR 11,990)) and is available in Poland; it has less payload (2 kg) but a much better documented ecosystem.

The EngineAI PM01 at about USD 12,000 (about PLN 46,500 (≈ EUR 10,660)), 140 cm and 24 degrees of freedom, is a cheaper route to a research platform, though without official availability in Poland.

The Booster T1 at about USD 33,949 has 118 cm and 23 degrees of freedom and also targets research and education. For a simple comparison of price per degree of freedom, use the Unitree G1 EDU listing, which has 43 degrees of freedom and is available in Poland. Before deciding, also compare prices in distributors' shops, because humanoid prices can differ by tens of percent.

History

The A2 Lite comes from the Yuanzheng A2 family, which AgiBot presented in August 2024 together with the A2-Max, A2-W and the Lingxi X1 and X1-W models. We have no launch date for the Lite version itself or for earlier generations. We do know that in December 2024 the company announced mass production (962 units by 15 December), and in January 2025 it built the thousandth unit of its general-purpose robots. March 2025 brought the GO-1 foundation model, and October 2025 the industrial G2 robot. The history of the Lite version itself remains poorly documented. Company profile: AgiBot.
