The Walker Tien Kung from China's UBTech is a full-size, 170-centimeter research and education humanoid built from aerospace-grade aluminum and titanium alloys, offering up to 20 degrees of freedom and stable movement at up to about 2.78 m/s (10 km/h) over varied terrain: slopes, stairs, sand and snow.
The design can be expanded with a depth camera, LiDAR, an optional NVIDIA Jetson Orin module, seven-axis collaborative arms and five-fingered hands; the robot runs on the proprietary Hui Si Kai Wu AI platform. The pre-order price started at CNY 299,000, or about USD 41,000 (about PLN 158,920 (≈ EUR 36,420) at the 27 Sept 2026 exchange rate), with delivery originally announced for Q2 2025.
Compared with UBTech's own industrial Walker S2 and with rivals such as the Unitree G1 or Fourier GR-1, the Tien Kung stands out for a price that is relatively low for a full-size humanoid with this kind of terrain capability, although the exact weight, payload and real delivery date remain unclear. Its status is still pre-order, not retail sale; in Poland the model is neither offered nor announced.

Pre-order price from CNY 299,000 (about USD 41,000 per the SCMP conversion of March 2025); delivery originally announced for Q2 2025.
Running and deployment costs
Purchase: the pre-order price started at CNY 299,000, or about USD 41,000 per the SCMP conversion of March 2025 (about PLN 158,920 (≈ EUR 36,420) at the 1 October 2026 rate of 3.8762). On import, expect customs duty and VAT, transport and insurance (rough estimate); because the exact weight is unknown, we can give shipping costs only as a ballpark. Optional modules (NVIDIA Jetson Orin, seven-axis arms, five-fingered hands) will raise the price by an amount the manufacturer does not specify in the sources. Service: no distributor in Poland. Training: a university team needs a few weeks to master control and safety (rough estimate). For a general overview of humanoid prices: “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”. If you order from China, ask for written confirmation of the delivery date and warranty terms, because on a pre-order that is your only protection.

Applications
What it's for
The Walker Tien Kung is a 170-centimeter research and education humanoid made of aerospace-grade aluminum and titanium, which UBTech describes as suited to varied terrain: slopes, stairs, sand and snow, at speeds up to about 2.78 m/s (10 km/h). It has up to 20 degrees of freedom and can be expanded with a depth camera, LiDAR, an optional NVIDIA Jetson Orin module, seven-axis collaborative arms and five-fingered hands; everything runs on the proprietary Hui Si Kai Wu AI platform. The manufacturer points to two fields: research and education. The robot has one clear advantage here: a full-size body at a price that looks reasonable next to many Chinese competitors. It fits universities and laboratories perfectly. For work in a factory, UBTech has a separate line, the UBTech Walker S2, with 52 DOF and a 15 kg payload. On our pages the Tien Kung remains a teaching machine, with no confirmed commercial deployments and an unclear delivery date.
Typical applications
Who it's for
Worth considering for: technical universities and universities that want a full-size humanoid for teaching and research, and R&D teams that need an open platform with sensors and room for expansion. Who it is not for: companies looking for a robot to work in production (UBTech offers the Walker S2 for that), and buyers who need certainty about delivery date and robot weight; the mass, payload and real delivery date remain unclear, and the originally announced Q2 2025 delivery was not confirmed. Note the status: the Tien Kung is a pre-order, not a retail sale. In Poland the model is neither offered nor announced. Before considering a purchase, read our materials on “Educational Robots for Schools and Universities” and the standards in “Robot Safety Standards”, because any larger robot at a university requires a risk assessment.
Deployments
Tien Kung: no confirmed commercial deployments; the model is on pre-order. UBTech's deployments concern other robots: the Walker S1 worked on training tasks at BYD and at the Zeekr factory in Ningbo, and the Walker S2, according to our information, works at BYD and Foxconn. Chinese humanoids are heading toward automotive factories; you will find them described in the article “Chinese Humanoid Robots”, and on use in production halls in “Humanoid Robots in Factories 2026”.
Comparison
If you are looking for an educational humanoid available in Poland, Unitree G1 EDU is the research variant with full SDK access, 43 DOF and a 3 kg payload; list price USD 73,900, and in Polish shops from roughly PLN 150,000 (≈ EUR 34,370) to 250,000. A cheaper stepping stone is the AgiBot Lingxi X2 (130 cm, 35 kg, 25 DOF, about USD 13,800). A full-size humanoid with rich kinematics: the Fourier GR-2 has 175 cm, 63 kg and 53 DOF. For industry, UBTech offers the UBTech Walker S2; the earlier UBTech Walker S1 went into training tasks at BYD and at the Zeekr factory. And if you are choosing among cheap robots from China, compare costs with the Booster T1 (118 cm, 30 kg, 23 DOF). If the hardware is meant for robotics classes for younger students, consider the cheaper Noetix Bumi (94 cm, 12 kg, about USD 1,402); it is a different level of capability, but also a different level of financial risk.

History
UBTech, based in Shenzhen, has several humanoid lines in its portfolio. In October 2024, the Walker S1 was deployed for training tasks at BYD and at the smart Zeekr factory in Ningbo. In March 2025, the company presented the educational Walker Tien Kung at about USD 41,000, as a full-size humanoid with a research profile. In July 2025 came the Walker S2 (a pilot with 52 DOF), and in October 2025 UBTech announced its market launch with a high-torque waist and fourth-generation hands. In September 2026 the next chapter is the UWORLD U1, a companion humanoid due to reach its first customers from 16 September; more than 13,000 orders were placed. The Tien Kung thus stands beside the industrial line as the variant for learning.
