The Agile Robots Diana 7 goes straight after the niche that Germany's Franka Emika has held for years with its FR3: precise force control. This seven-axis cobot has torque sensors in each of its seven axes and offers a 923 mm reach, a 7 kg payload, ±0.05 mm repeatability and 0.5 N force-control resolution, all on a compact base just 190 mm in diameter.
Configuration, programming and maintenance run through the proprietary AgileCore software suite. Applications include assembly, dispensing, material handling and remote tool-center-point (remote-TCP) control. The standout strength is force-control resolution comparable to the FR3, which makes it a real alternative wherever gentle motion counts, for instance when assembling precision components.
The weakness is the lack of any publicly available price. Neither the manufacturer nor distributors quote figures, which makes a direct cost comparison with competitors hard. The Agile Robots brand (headquartered in Munich, founded in 2018, with German and Chinese capital) is also less recognized outside Germany and China than Franka or Universal Robots. No distribution in Poland is confirmed.
The model is worth considering for integrators who need precise force control on a budget to be agreed individually with the manufacturer.

Running and deployment costs
The Diana 7 price is not public. Neither the manufacturer nor resellers quote one, so we do not put any figure on it. As reference points: the Franka Research 3 arm costs about PLN 116,286 (≈ EUR 26,600 at NBP rate 4.3716 of 20 October 2026), the UR5e about PLN 127,611 (≈ EUR 29,190) and the ABB GoFa CRB 15000 about PLN 147,724 (≈ EUR 33,790). As a rough estimate the Diana 7 should land in a similar order of magnitude, but that is our estimate based on competitors, not an offer.
On top of the arm's price you should roughly add a gripper or tool, station tooling, safeguarding and integration. In cobot projects the integrator's cost often matches the cost of the robot itself, a rule of thumb worth confirming in the quote. The full total-cost-of-ownership calculation is described in “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”, and the rules for collaborative robots in “Robot Safety Standards”.
Training: for a programmer with robotics experience it usually takes days, not weeks, but AgileCore is the manufacturer's own software, so ask about courses.
Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację): buying a factory-new industrial robot may qualify for a 50% deduction of costs if the company meets the conditions; details and the last year in which it applies are in “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”. Always confirm this with a tax adviser.

Applications
What it's for
The Agile Robots Diana 7 is a seven-axis collaborative robot (cobot) from the Munich-based company Agile Robots SE, built for assembling small components where a gentle touch matters. The manufacturer bets on precise force control: torque sensors sit in each of the seven axes, force-control resolution is 0.5 N and repeatability is ±0.05 mm. The arm has a 923 mm reach and a 7 kg payload, and its base is only 190 mm in diameter, so it fits on a small table or a mobile platform.
Listed applications: assembly, dispensing, material handling and remote tool-center-point (remote-TCP) control applications.
In a factory the Diana 7 fits lines where delicate parts must be pressed, inserted and screwed, wherever a feel for resistance matters. Dispensing adhesives or sealants demands an even feed and controlled pressure, which the seven axes and joint sensors provide. In a laboratory, listed as the second target group alongside industry, seven axes give more freedom to maneuver in tight spaces than the classic six, as we explain in the article on “Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots”.
Configuration, programming and maintenance are handled by the proprietary AgileCore software suite. Basic concepts such as the cobot and human-robot collaboration are explained in “What Is a Cobot and How Does It Differ from an Industrial Robot”. Keep in mind that such a precise cobot needs a good gripper and a matched tool; grippers are made by, among others, Robotiq and OnRobot.
Typical applications
Who it's for
A good fit: integrators and electronics plants that assemble or inspect delicate parts and need force control, not just positioning accuracy. Laboratories and research departments looking for a seven-axis arm with torque sensors in every axis. Companies that value a compact base (190 mm) and want to mount the robot on a cart or in a cramped production station.
Not a good choice for: firms that want a list price, because nobody publishes one. Plants that need a higher payload: 7 kg is mid-range, and for palletizing or heavy parts a larger cobot is the better pick, for example the FANUC CRX-10iA (10 kg) or the Doosan H2515 (25 kg). Buyers who want local service in Poland, since no distribution in Poland is confirmed. Beginners who want to start a robot without knowing integration; a step-by-step guide is in the article “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”.
Deployments
We have no documented references for the Diana 7 at specific customers, either in Poland or worldwide, so we name no one. Distribution in Poland is not confirmed.
Among cobots there are models for research and assembly. The Franka Research 3 has research in its very name, and the UR3e is the smallest UR cobot, used for electronics assembly and in laboratories. Among robots available in Poland are the ABB GoFa CRB 15000 (about PLN 148,000 (≈ EUR 33,850) from a distributor) and Doosan models through a local distributor. If references in Poland matter to you, they are easier to find today for competitors than for Agile Robots.
Comparison
The closest rival is the Franka Research 3, the Franka Research 3: also seven axes, torque sensors in every joint and an openly listed price of about PLN 116,286 (≈ EUR 26,600), but a payload of only 3 kg and a reach of 855 mm. If 3 kg is enough, it is the cheaper route to force control; if not, the Diana 7's edge is its 7 kg and 923 mm reach.
The UR5e is the safe, widespread choice: six axes, 5 kg, 850 mm reach, and a listed price of about PLN 127,611 (≈ EUR 29,190). UR is one of the best-known cobot brands, and this series is covered in our comparison “Universal Robots UR5e, UR10e and UR20 Compared”.
The ABB GoFa CRB 15000 has a 5 kg payload and is listed at about PLN 147,724 (≈ EUR 33,790) from a Polish distributor. It costs more, but comes with local support.
When you need a higher payload, reach for the Yaskawa Motoman HC10 (10 kg, 1,379 mm reach, on sale since 2016, price on request) or the FANUC CRX-10iA; both have distribution in Poland.

History
Agile Robots SE was founded in 2018 in Munich by a German-Chinese team. The company built its profile on the Diana 7 and Thor collaborative arms and the Agile Hand gripper. The Diana 7 is one of two cobots we list for this manufacturer. In April 2026, at the Hannover Messe trade fair, the company showed an industrial humanoid, the Agile ONE, which shows it is also expanding toward humanoid robots. For the Diana 7 itself we have no launch date or recorded generations, so we do not cite a “2” or “3” version. Interestingly, the manufacturer is often compared to Franka Emika: both companies reach for force control as their main selling point.
