Among the H-series cobots - Doosan Robotics' heaviest line - the H2515 holds the position of the model with the highest payload: 25 kg, with six degrees of freedom and a torque sensor in each of the six joints.

Its design has no additional external sensors (the manufacturer lists no camera or wrist force sensor, for example), making it a solution focused on raw handling strength rather than precise perception of the surroundings. In practice it goes to tasks where payload and repeatability count: machine tending and palletizing of heavy parts.

Against competitors in the high-payload cobot segment - for example the Universal Robots UR20 or the Fanuc CRX-20iA - the Doosan H2515 looks similar in load class, although without independently verified reach or repeatability data for those models a precise performance comparison is hard. The manufacturer does not publish the price, which makes a direct cost comparison with competitors difficult.

In Poland the model is available through Transition Technologies-CS (coboty-doosan.pl), the authorized distributor of Doosan Robotics. A fit for industrial plants planning to automate heavier handling operations, with a budget for individual quotes and looking for a supplier with local support.

Running and deployment costs

The manufacturer does not give a list price for the H2515; quotes are individual through the distributor. There is no specific figure and we do not want to invent one.

For an order of magnitude, as an estimate: a cobot in the heaviest class is one of the more expensive items among cobots, and a complete station with gripper, base, pallets, guarding and integration is usually counted in hundreds of thousands of zloty (PLN). Pay attention to side costs: a foundation or cart that will withstand the arm's reaction forces, and adapting the gripper to the shape of the load.

Running costs are energy, servicing and joint inspections, and with continuous work at heavy loads it is wise to plan a reserve for parts. Training for the operator and a maintenance technician belongs in the budget from the start.

Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację): an additional deduction of up to 50% of eligible costs; 2026 is the last year under current rules, with an announced extension to 2036. Conditions of the relief: “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”. The order of purchase: “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”.

Applications

What it's for

The Doosan H2515 is the model with the highest payload in the Doosan Robotics H series: 25 kg with six degrees of freedom and torque sensors. The stated purpose is heaviest-duty handling, with two tasks: machine tending and palletizing.

In a factory (factory) that points to three roles. The first is loading heavy parts into a machine tool or press: the robot grabs the blank, inserts it and takes out the finished part, while a human handles quality control. The second is palletizing sacks or crates. The third is moving heavy components between stations where a forklift would be overkill.

The design focuses on grip strength and capacity, not perception: the manufacturer lists no additional external sensors, such as a camera or a wrist force sensor. If the application requires recognizing parts, they have to be added or a vision system from a third-party supplier bolted on.

It is worth knowing that with 25 kg at the end of the arm the mass of the gripper and the accelerations matter more, so the real usable load is smaller than the nominal 25 kg. A risk assessment according to “Robot Safety Standards” becomes a mandatory stage here, not a formality. Background: “Cobot or Industrial Robot”.

Typical applications

  • Machine tending
  • Palletizing

Who it's for

Makes sense for: plants with heavy, repetitive handling that want to stay with a cobot because the station is shared with people or there is no room for a cage. It suits companies ready for an individual quote and looking for a supplier with local support - Transition Technologies-CS in Poland.

Who it doesn't: plants that need maximum cycle speed, because a cobot carrying 25 kg will be slower than a classic industrial robot in a cage. We also do not recommend it for light tasks: that is overpaying and carrying needless mass. If the load approaches 30 kg or the reach must be large, check the Doosan P3020 or the UR30.

The H2515's reach is not; ask for the documentation before you draw the station layout. How to check missing parameters: “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”.

Deployments

No confirmed deployments in Poland, and no international references for this model either.

In the category of heavy cobots, what is confirmed is that manufacturers offer 20-30 kg models for machine tending and palletizing, among them the UR20, the FANUC CRX-20iA/L and the Doosan H2017. According to the article “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland”, Doosan in Poland works in automotive, electronics and food processing, with tasks including assembly, CNC tending, packing and palletizing. That is the market, not a reference for this model.

A sensible practice: ask the distributor to show a station with a similar load, not just a trade-show video.

Comparison

The Doosan H2017 from the same series has a 20 kg payload and 1,700 mm reach. If your parts fit within 20 kg, that is the simpler route within the same family.

The UR30 from Universal Robots lifts up to 30 kg, so it gives a margin the H2515 lacks. It is a real alternative for heavy palletizing.

The FANUC CRX-30iA also offers 30 kg and a brand well known in Polish plants. Check the service terms and availability in Poland.

The Techman TM25S is 25 kg from Techman; it stands out with vision in the arm, so it fits tasks where the robot must find the part itself.

The Doosan P3020 is the P series, built specifically for palletizing: 30 kg and 2,030 mm reach. If the task boils down to pallets, it is probably the more appropriate choice.

The family is presented in “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland”.

History

Doosan Robotics was founded in 2015 in Suwon as a company of the Doosan group; since 2023 it has been listed on the KOSPI exchange. The company has five cobot series: A, E, M, H and P.

The H2515 is the strongest model in the H series, dedicated to ergonomically taxing tasks. Above it stands only the P series for palletizing, with the 30 kg P3020. We have no launch date for the H2515.

In Poland Doosan is represented by Transition Technologies-Control Solutions (coboty-doosan.pl). Sources give different start years for the cooperation, 2021 or 2022. More on the market: cobots and “What Is a Cobot and How Does It Differ from an Industrial Robot”.
