Munich-based Agile Robots SE, founded in 2018 by a German-Chinese team, built its reputation on the collaborative arms Diana 7 and Thor and the Agile Hand gripper, before announcing in 2025–2026 its entry into the humanoid segment under the name Agile ONE.
Little is known about the new robot: the manufacturer gives a walking speed of 2 m/s and a hand with 21 degrees of freedom, describing the payload only vaguely as “large”. A full specification sheet has not yet been published, which makes comparison with more open competitors such as Unitree or Fourier Intelligence difficult. Two models are described here: the proven cobot Diana 7 and the prototype Agile ONE.
For industrial customers the cobot is already interesting today; the humanoid remains for now an announcement with no confirmed market date and no presence in Poland.
History and development
Munich, 2018, and a German-Chinese team decides to build robotics based on touch and artificial intelligence. That is how the story of Agile Robots SE begins. The company quickly gained recognition thanks to the collaborative arms Diana 7 and Thor and the Agile Hand gripper, products that went into assembly, dispensing and materials handling. For years the brand was built around cobots: precise, force-sensitive, with control down to 0.5 N. Only in 2025–2026 did the company announce its entry into the humanoid segment under the name Agile ONE. The public debut took place in April 2026 at the Hannover Messe trade fair, where an industrial humanoid was presented. This step is consistent with the logic of the market: whoever knows grasping, contact force and safety around people has a good foundation for building a whole robot body. The history is still short, and there is little information on Agile ONE: the manufacturer gives a walking speed of 2 m/s and a hand with 21 degrees of freedom, while it describes the payload vaguely as "large". There is no full specification sheet or market date. The technological background is explained in “How Does a Humanoid Robot Work”, and an introduction to the world of collaborative robots in “What Is a Cobot and How Does It Differ from an Industrial Robot”.
Portfolio
The first part of the range is fully mature: Agile Robots Diana 7 is a seven-axis cobot with a 7 kg payload, ±0.05 mm precision and 0.5 N force control. The manufacturer points to applications in assembly, dispensing, materials handling and remote applications with a remotely controlled TCP point. The price is not public, and a competitor from a similar tier is the Franka FR3. The second part is Agile ONE, a humanoid prototype of which it is known that it walks at 2 m/s, has a hand with 21 DOF and is meant to handle manipulation. The rest of the specification remains unknown, and the robot is not available in Poland. For an industrial customer, only the cobot is interesting today; the humanoid remains an announcement. If you are comparing solutions for assembly and palletizing, look at the category “Cobots” and the guide “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”. The applications are mainly factories and laboratories. The contrast is interesting: the cobot has concrete numbers and proven applications, the humanoid only two numbers and a declaration. It is worth remembering that before anyone starts comparing the two products in one table. When building a workstation with the Diana 7, grippers will also come in handy, for example from OnRobot or Robotiq, and arms from other makers are described in “Cobots”.
Market position
The Munich company operates in a segment where Universal Robots, Franka Robotics and KUKA compete for customers, and from the humanoid side Unitree Robotics and Fourier Intelligence join in. Against Franka, which is closer to the world of science, Agile Robots bets on precision and force control, but public data on funding, valuation, turnover and headcount is lacking. We do not know the customer list either. We will therefore not pretend to know how large this business is. What can be said is that Agile ONE is hard to compare with open competitors until a full specification is published. A wider comparison of cobots is offered by the article “Cobot or Industrial Robot”, and a producer of the neighboring class, Universal Robots, is described in “Universal Robots UR5e, UR10e and UR20 Compared”. In practice this means that today Agile Robots wins or loses on cobots, and the humanoid is a bet on the future. To assess this strategy it helps to know what the field of humanoid robots looks like and which players already have deployments and which only announcements. Also check which standards apply when working next to people: “Robot Safety Standards”.
Presence in Poland
Agile Robots has no confirmed presence in Poland. There are no known dealers or Polish deployments, and Agile ONE is explicitly marked as not available in the country. If a Polish integrator wanted to order the Diana 7, it would have to contact the manufacturer; we have no information about a distributor, so we do not name any. For companies looking for local support, an easier choice will be the brands described in “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland” and “FANUC CRX: The Cobot Series with 8 Years of Zero Maintenance”. Until the manufacturer announces a Polish partner, information on service and training in Polish is also lacking. The question of local support is worth asking before any conversation about price.
Editorial verdict
The Diana 7 is an interesting cobot for assembly that requires force sensing, but without a price and local support it is hard to recommend to a Polish factory. Agile ONE is for now a promise. The company deserves to be watched, especially after a full specification and deployment information are published. Our advice: treat the cobot as a product for a request for quotation and the humanoid as an object of observation. We will give an assessment only after full data are published.
