The ABB GoFa CRB 15000 is a general-purpose cobot from the Swiss-Swedish ABB Robotics, on sale since 2021. There is no confirmed official distributor in Poland, so availability in Poland remains unconfirmed. Payload is 5 kg, reach 950 mm, arm weight 28 kg, speed up to 2.2 m/s and repeatability 0.05 mm.

These figures put it in the same class as the Universal Robots UR5e or the Fanuc CRX-10iA, although the GoFa stands out for its soft, cushioned outer shell, which reduces the risk of injury on contact with a person.

The price at the German distributor Unchained Robotics falls between EUR 30,000 and EUR 37,500 net (about PLN 131,300 at the NBP rate of 1 October 2026), but that is a trade price, not an official ABB price list, so it may differ in Poland. The robot is also available in a 10 kg payload variant (GoFa 10) for heavier tasks.

It works well for assembly and pick-and-place in electronics, medical devices and metal processing. Its weak point against the competition is the lack of a published manufacturer price, which makes comparing the total cost of a deployment harder. A good choice for manufacturing companies in Poland looking for a proven cobot from a global supplier with local service support.

Price and availability in Poland

Dealer price from Unchained Robotics (Germany), range EUR 30,000–37,500 net; this is not an official ABB price and may differ for Poland.

Running and deployment costs

Confirmed data: the German distributor Unchained Robotics gives a range of EUR 30,000–37,500 net, which at the 1 October 2026 rate of 4.3770 comes to about PLN 148,000 (≈ EUR 33,850). This is a trade price, not an ABB price list, so it may differ in Poland. Beyond the arm itself there are costs that, as an estimate, can be comparable to the price of the robot: a gripper, software, integration, workstation safeguarding and training for programmers or operators. As an estimate, the whole deployment costs between one and two times the price of the arm; only an integrator's quote will give the exact figure. Upkeep is mainly inspections and any post-warranty service. How to calculate payback is described in “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”, and on tax incentives for companies investing in automation (Poland's robotization tax relief, ulga na robotyzację) see “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”; confirm this with an adviser before deciding.

Applications

What it's for

The GoFa is a cobot for everyday work: the kind you set up at an assembly bench and then stop worrying about. A 5 kg payload, 950 mm reach and 0.05 mm repeatability are enough for most of the tasks a person standing at a workstation does in small and medium-sized plants. The manufacturer points to assembly and pick-and-place, and to electronics, medical devices and metal processing as industries. A typical assembly task is putting an electronic module into a housing, screwing it down and setting it on a conveyor: the robot takes a part from the feeder, seats it in the fixture and goes back for the next one. In medical devices the work is light, repeatable tasks: moving test tubes, packing kits, tending test stations. In metal processing the GoFa suits loading and unloading small machines where parts weigh less than 5 kg. Its soft, cushioned outer shell is characteristic, reducing the risk of injury on contact with a person. Torque and position sensors in every joint let the arm stop on unexpected resistance. That matters wherever the workstation cannot be fenced off; we describe the rules for risk assessment in “Robot Safety Standards”. For heavier tasks the manufacturer offers the GoFa 10 variant with a 10 kg payload. If your parts weigh more than 5 kg or you need greater reach, that variant makes more sense than shopping for another brand. How to match a cobot to a task is explained in “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step” and “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”. For gripping, consider accessories from suppliers such as Robotiq or OnRobot. Uses in factories and laboratories are the most natural fit here.

Typical applications

  • Assembly
  • Pick & place

Who it's for

Makes sense for: manufacturing plants that want to automate assembly or the transfer of light parts and value a proven global brand with local service support (ABB Sp. z o.o. has a solid presence in Poland). It suits integrators who need a predictable arm for repeatable applications.

Who it is not for: companies expecting a published manufacturer price and a quick cost comparison, because ABB does not publish one. Nor is it a robot for heavy palletizing; for that, an arm with a higher payload, such as the AUBO i16 or UR30, will be better. Buying in Poland requires an enquiry to a local representative, since there is no confirmed distributor.

Deployments

The manufacturer lists electronics, medical devices and metal processing as typical applications. We describe similar cobot applications in “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland” and “FANUC CRX: The Cobot Series with 8 Years of Zero Maintenance”, and a broader map of the market is given in “Polish Robotics Companies”.

Comparison

The closest in class are the UR5e and UR10e from Universal Robots: the first is the benchmark among cobots, the second has more reach and payload, and the accessory ecosystem is broad (comparison in “Universal Robots UR5e, UR10e and UR20 Compared”). The KUKA LBR iisy 6 R1300 is an option for those who value the German ecosystem and simple setup. The Neura MAiRA S stands out with built-in perception, but it is newer and less proven in long-term use. The JAKA Zu 7 is considerably cheaper, which can be an argument on a limited budget, though you need to verify the service. We write about the difference between a cobot and an industrial robot in “Cobot or Industrial Robot”.

History

ABB launched the GoFa CRB 15000 in 2021, placing it in a cobot family alongside the YuMi and SWIFTI. ABB Robotics is a Swiss-Swedish company whose robotics center is in Västerås; the group was founded in 1988. Besides the 5 kg version, a GoFa 10 with a 10 kg payload was also developed. We have no detailed information on later generations, so we do not describe them.
