Summary

The smallest family in Techman's portfolio is designated TM5, and the TM5-700 is its base version: a 700 mm reach and a 6 kg payload, typical for assembly and pick&place work that demands precision rather than strength.

As in the more expensive TM12, TM14 or TM25S models, the manufacturer builds a 2D vision system into the tip of the arm as standard, which sets the TM5-700 apart from competing cobots in this class, for example the Universal Robots UR5e, where the camera is usually a separate purchase.

The publicly available datasheet comes from the distributor Omron, not directly from Techman, which suggests the robot is also sold under a partner brand. The manufacturer does not publish an explicit price; in Poland you have to get a quote from TFM Robotics. The TM5-700 will do well on assembly lines with limited workspace, where repeatability and vision matter most, not payload.

For tasks needing more reach or force, the TM12 or TM14 from the same family will be the better choice. The lack of a list price and of data on the robot's weight are the main limitations when comparing it with the competition.

Running and deployment costs

The manufacturer does not publish the price of the TM5-700, and our search found no shop offer; in Poland you can get a quote from TFM Robotics. As a reference point: the UR5e costs around PLN 128,000 (≈ EUR 29,330 at NBP rate 4.3641 of 21 October 2026) and the ABB GoFa CRB 15000 around PLN 148,000 (≈ EUR 33,910) at distributors. The TM5-700 will, as a rough estimate, fall in a similar range, but that is a value from comparing categories, not an offer for this model.

The built-in camera saves the cost of an external vision system, but you have to add the gripper, tooling and integration; the total deployment cost is about twice the price of the arm alone (rough estimate). Running costs are low: electricity, inspection, gripper replacement. TMflow training usually takes a few days (rough estimate). Companies paying CIT or PIT can check Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację), see “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”: a 50% additional deduction in 2022–2026. Applications

What it's for

The TM5-700 is the base version of the smallest family from Techman Robot: 700 mm reach, 6 kg payload. Those are parameters for precision, not for strength.

The most important feature is the built-in 2D camera on the tip of the arm. The robot looks at the part itself, so you need no external vision system, calibration or extra cables. The camera identifies the part and guides the grip; that is pick&place with vision, one of the two applications the manufacturer names for this model; the other is assembly.

In practice the TM5-700 fits electronics, small mechanical assembly, camera-based quality inspection and packing of small items (factories, laboratories). Because it is a cobot, it can work next to a person without a cage, which saves space in a tight hall. Limitations: 6 kg is the payload including the gripper, and a 700 mm reach requires setting up the station so that everything fits within the working sphere. If you need a longer reach with a lighter load, consider the Techman TM5-900 (900 mm, 4 kg); for heavier parts, the Techman TM12 or Techman TM14.

Programming in TMflow uses flowcharts, which makes it easier for technicians with no knowledge of robot coding to get started. Choose the gripper well; on the market you will find ready-made solutions from companies such as OnRobot or Robotiq.

Who it's for

The TM5-700 is for you if you assemble small parts, do pick&place with image recognition and have limited space. It suits electronics production departments, small machine shops and laboratories that need precision, not payload.

Do not buy it for heavy palletizing or for tending machines with parts of a dozen kilograms; there you need a larger model, for example from the 12–20 kg class. A 700 mm reach can also be too small with tall pallets. Beware, too, of the lack of a public price: the manufacturer does not publish one, and you have to look for an offer from a distributor, in Poland TFM Robotics. The datasheet we found comes from Omron, not directly from Techman, which suggests sales under a partner brand as well. If you are looking for a broad ecosystem of accessories, compare with the UR5e.

Deployments

The Polish distributor is TFM Robotics. Datasheets for the model are also published by Omron, a distributor of Techman robots. Comparison of available cobots: cobots, “What Is a Cobot and How Does It Differ from an Industrial Robot” and “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland”.

Comparison

In the class of small assembly cobots, consider four alternatives.

The UR5e has a 5 kg payload and an 850 mm reach; distributors list it at around PLN 128,000 (≈ EUR 29,330). Choose it when availability of accessories and integrators matters; the camera, however, is a separate purchase.

The Doosan M0609 lifts 6 kg at a 900 mm reach and is available in Poland through Transition Technologies-CS; it fits when you need a little more reach.

The ABB GoFa CRB 15000 is a 5 kg cobot priced at around PLN 148,000 (≈ EUR 33,910); good for plants already tied to the ABB ecosystem.

The Techman TM5-900 is the same family with a longer reach (900 mm) but a lower payload (4 kg); choose it when the geometry of the station requires it.

History

Techman Robot, founded in 2016 in Taoyuan, started with the TM5 family, and the TM5-700 is its base version. On that foundation the company expanded its range with the Techman TM12, Techman TM14, Techman TM16 and Techman TM20, and later with the S series including the Techman TM25S. Datasheets for the models are also published by Omron, which distributes Techman's robots. There is no launch date for the TM5-700, so we do not give one. Company profile: Techman Robot.
