Robot Era (CN): the English name of ROBOTERA; the Star1 humanoid.
Robot Era is the English name of the Beijing company ROBOTERA (Beijing Xingdong Jiyuan Corporation), founded in 2023. The Star1 humanoid was shown under this name. The full company profile, with the Star1 and L7 models, is in the ROBOTERA entry.
The Star1 humanoid was shown under this name, and technology media described its appearance in the Gobi desert. Such events are promotional by nature and in themselves say nothing about product maturity or sales volume. Full company profile: ROBOTERA.
One model is linked to the Robot Era entry: the Robotera STAR1. It is a humanoid 171 cm tall and weighing 63 kg, with 55 degrees of freedom (DOF), a 20 kg payload and a battery runtime of about 4 hours. It was presented in October 2024 and has prototype status. In 2025 the Star1 set a running-speed record of 3.6 m/s, and the maker points to uses in precision assembly, quality inspection, packing, goods transport and guest reception. A price has not been confirmed in a way we would consider credible. For the newer model, compare the RobotEra L7, covered in a separate profile: it has similar dimensions and degrees of freedom but is faster. How to interpret the number of degrees of freedom is explained in “Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots”. We know of no independent tests of payload or runtime, so all values are treated as manufacturer claims. This model sits in the humanoid robots category as a research and industrial design rather than a finished product for mass sale. If the model is ever to reach the European market, confirmed data on safety when working near people, as well as on warranty and servicing, will be key, and it is not available yet.
The Star1 is assessed against humanoids of a similar class: the Unitree H1 from Unitree Robotics, the Fourier GR-1 from Fourier Intelligence and the AgiBot A2 from AgiBot. All are human-scale designs aimed at research and pilot industrial deployments. The Star1 stands out for its claimed running-speed record and high number of degrees of freedom, which says more about laboratory capability than usefulness on a factory floor. Data on units sold, references and price is missing, and in this class it is deployments, not records, that decide standing. Because the entry ties in with the ROBOTERA profile, the fuller market assessment should be read there. For the pricing context of the humanoid market, see “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”. Mere presence in lists of Chinese startups does not decide standing either: what counts is whether the company delivers machines to customers, and that information is absent from the material attached to this spelling of the name. That is why we place this mention in no ranking.
For Robot Era we know of no distributor, sales or deployments in Poland. The Robotera STAR1 is a prototype, and the manufacturer has named no partner on the European market. Polish buyers interested in research humanoids can start with the designs from Unitree Robotics, described in “Unitree H1, G1, R1 and H2”. If the topic concerns a university, practical guidance is in the university overview. Practical advice: when buying any robot from China, ask about an authorised EU distributor, warranty and parts availability, because without them even a good robot turns into a problem.
Robot Era is another name of ROBOTERA: an impressive Star1 prototype with records and no prices. The ROBOTERA profile gives the fuller picture.
