Where the M1013 balances payload and reach, the M1509 tips the scale toward strength: 15 kg of payload with a compact 900 mm reach, the same as the smallest M0609. It is the heaviest model in the M family before a customer has to move up to Doosan Robotics' H or P series. Six axes and torque sensors in every joint remain common to the whole M platform.
Applications center on machine tending and palletizing, tasks where a short reach is no obstacle and payload is what counts. In the 12-16 kg cobot class, competition includes the Universal Robots UR16e and Fanuc CRX-20iA, but without verified parameters for those models the comparison is limited to market positioning, not numbers.
The M1509's advantage is a compact base despite the high payload, which makes integration easier in tight workstations. Its drawbacks are the limited 900 mm reach, which requires workpieces to be placed close by, and the lack of a published price that is standard for Doosan. In Poland distribution is handled by Transition Technologies-CS (coboty-doosan.pl).
Recommended for palletizing and machine-tending stations where space around the robot is limited and the parts are heavy.

Running and deployment costs
Doosan does not state a price for the M1509, and the distributor prepares the quote. As reference points our catalog has prices for cobots from lower and comparable classes: the GoFa CRB 15000 at about PLN 148,000 (≈ EUR 33,910) (ABB GoFa CRB 15000) and the UR10e at about PLN 160,000 (≈ EUR 36,660). As a rough estimate the M1509 sits in a similar order of magnitude, but that is orientation, not an offer. On top of the arm itself you need: a gripper or vacuum set for bags and cartons (in palletizing this is often an expensive element), controls, a pedestal, safeguarding and integration. Roughly speaking, a full palletizing station can cost many times the price of the arm. Running costs are electricity, inspections and replacement of the suction tooling. Operator training usually takes a few days. How to calculate the whole picture is shown in “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”. Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację) covers the purchase and training for robots that meet the statutory definition; details are in “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”; confirm qualification with an adviser.

Applications
What it's for
The M1509 is a cobot for workstations where strength matters more than a long arm. It has a 15 kg payload with a 900 mm reach and is the heaviest model in the M series before a customer has to reach for the H or P series. The manufacturer names two applications: machine tending and palletizing. The first scenario is tending a machining center in a narrow cell, with the machine on one side and a rack of semi-finished parts on the other. The short reach is no problem because the parts sit close by, while the mass of a single piece, say an aluminum block or a shaft, can be considerable. Here 15 kg gives a margin the Doosan M1013 does not have. The compact base makes it easier to place the robot where space is scarce, which in a factory is an everyday problem. The second scenario is palletizing at the end of a line: the robot stacks bags or cartons on a pallet in layers. In a warehouse and in a packing hall this makes sense for small and medium pallets. When the pallet has to be tall or the work area wide, the 900 mm reach starts to limit you and the Doosan P3020 (30 kg, 2,030 mm) is the better fit. Common to the whole platform are six degrees of freedom (“Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots”) and torque sensors in the joints, thanks to which the cobot can work without a traditional fence, provided the risk assessment confirms it; the rules are covered in the text on “Robot Safety Standards”.
Typical applications
Who it's for
Makes sense for: plants with tight workstations that handle heavy parts, and packing halls with small pallets. The model makes sense when the job is moving mass over a short distance rather than reaching far. In Poland it is available through Transition Technologies-CS (coboty-doosan.pl).
Who it does not suit: stations that need long reach or tall pallets; look at the Doosan H2017 or Doosan H2515 from the H series (20-25 kg), or the P3020 for palletizing. Do not buy it for precision assembly of small components either; the lighter Doosan M0609 is better for that. Overview of the whole class: cobots.
Deployments
We have no confirmed M1509 installations in Poland that we could name by company. What is confirmed is the commercial presence: since 2022 the exclusive Doosan distributor has been Transition Technologies-Control Solutions (coboty-doosan.pl). How the brand's market in Poland looks is described in “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland”.
Comparison
In the 12-16 kg class manufacturers offer similar solutions; below is positioning, not a comparison of figures.
UR16e is a 16 kg cobot from the largest application ecosystem; the choice when ready-made software and many integrators matter.
FANUC CRX-20iA/L has a higher payload and a longer arm, for those to whom 900 mm of reach is not enough.
Doosan H2515 is the upgrade path within the same family when 15 kg stops being enough.
KUKA LBR iisy 15 R930 is a KUKA cobot from the 15 kg class judging by its model name; an option for companies already working on KUKA controls.

History
The M1509 belongs to the M series, which Doosan Robotics built after the company was founded in 2015 in Suwon; the company listed on the KOSPI exchange in 2023. In the M family it is the most powerful variant: after it comes the H series (20-25 kg), and for palletizing the P series of up to 30 kg. We have no exact launch date for the M1509, so we do not state one. You can find the brand's profile on the page Doosan Robotics.
