The largest member of Doosan's Agile line, the A0912 lifts up to 9 kg at a reach of 1,200 mm - nearly double the entry-level A0509 from the same family. The trade-off is a heavier body (31 kg) and slightly lower repeatability (±0.05 mm versus ±0.03 mm on the smaller model).

Six joints with torque sensors let it work alongside people on assembly jobs that demand more force, such as moving heavier parts or tending machines. Like the rest of the A-Series, it has no published list price; the distributor quotes each order individually.

In Poland the A0912 is sold through Transition Technologies-CS (coboty-doosan.pl), a logistical advantage over rivals of similar payload that lack a local representative, such as parts of the Dobot Nova range. For plants that need a cobot for tasks above 5 kg - without jumping straight to the heavier H series - the A0912 is the logical step up on the same control platform.

Running and deployment costs

The manufacturer does not publish a list price for the A0912, so we will not give any figure from a price list. The distributor prepares quotes individually, depending on configuration, and the process starts with a request for quotation.

For an order of magnitude, clearly as an estimate: a cobot in this payload class usually costs several tens of thousands of euros for the arm and controller alone. The real budget for a station is many times higher, because you add a gripper (from third-party suppliers such as Robotiq or OnRobot), a table or base, safeguarding resulting from the risk assessment, integration and commissioning. Do not treat this as an offer, but as a warning: compare the cost of the whole station, not just the arm.

Running costs are mainly energy (low consumption, as across the family) and periodic servicing. Operator and programmer training is worth writing into the offer from the start; ask the distributor about scope and duration.

Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację) allows an additional deduction of 50% of eligible costs, but under current rules 2026 is the last year, and an extension to 2036 has so far only been announced by the Ministry of Finance. The rules of the relief are described in “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”. The whole purchasing process is described in “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”.

Applications

What it's for

The Doosan A0912 is a cobot for assembly: six axes, a 9 kg payload, 1,200 mm reach and ±0.05 mm repeatability, which the manufacturer, Doosan Robotics, specifies for this largest model of the Agile series. A torque sensor sits in each of the six joints, so the arm senses contact and can work without a cage - we cover the rules for such collaboration in “Robot Safety Standards”.

Two applications are listed: assembly and pick-and-place. In practice that means moving parts from a feeder to a fixture, inserting components into housings, fastening screws and tending simple workcells. A 9 kg payload lets it handle not just a light part but a whole set: the part plus the gripper and sensor, whose weight eats into the rated capacity - an easy thing to forget when sizing. The 1,200 mm reach covers a workstation well over two meters across, so one arm can serve several stations without moving its base.

Beyond the assembly hall, this size suits factories for machine tending and also laboratories, where repeatable transfer of samples or tube racks matters. To be clear, these are directions that follow from the specs, not documented deployments: we have no documented applications of the A0912 itself at Polish companies.

Also keep in mind that 31 kg of dead weight is a lot for a cobot with this payload. The smaller A0509 weighs 21 kg, so moving the A0912 between stations takes a hoist or two people. For general background on how a cobot differs from a classic industrial robot, see [[wiedza:cobot-czy-robot-przemysłowy]].

  • Pick & place

Who it's for

Best suited to: plants with assembly or part-transfer tasks heavier than 5 kg that want to stay with a cobot instead of reaching for a caged robot. It fits well with companies already running Doosan controls on other stations - a shared programming platform shortens training. It also makes sense for buyers who value local support: in Poland the model is distributed by Transition Technologies-CS (coboty-doosan.pl).

Who it doesn't: if your cycle demands the speed of a classic robot, a cobot will be the bottleneck, because working next to people forces speed limits. Nor is it the pick for anyone who needs a list price before a sales conversation - the manufacturer does not publish one. If parts weigh more than 10 kg, look straight at the M or H series instead of fighting over payload margins. Be careful also where repeatability of ±0.03 mm matters: that is what the smaller A0509 quotes, while the A0912 specifies ±0.05 mm.

Before deciding, read “How to Read a Robot Datasheet” and add up the gripper mass together with the part.

Deployments

There are no confirmed deployments in Poland for this specific model, and the list of universities and companies using this arm is empty.

What is confirmed at category level: Doosan cobots reach Polish plants through the distributor, and the article “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland” names typical sectors - automotive, electronics and food processing - with tasks such as assembly, CNC machine tending, packing and palletizing. That describes the market, not an A0912 reference.

If you want to see the machine at work, ask the distributor for the address of a reference plant - a more honest route than brochure photos. A map of Polish robotics companies is in “Polish Robotics Companies”.

Comparison

The closest alternative within the family is the Doosan M1013: the manufacturer describes it as the best-selling model in the M series, with a 10 kg payload and 1,300 mm reach - more headroom in reach and capacity, on the same programming platform.

If you want a competitor from another camp, consider the UR10e from Universal Robots: 12.5 kg payload, 1,300 mm reach, ±0.05 mm and a force sensor at the tool flange. It has the largest accessory ecosystem, which is an argument in itself.

The Techman TM12 stands out with a factory-integrated 2D camera at the end of the arm, so it works where the robot must find the part itself. The price: a different ecosystem and different software.

The FANUC CRX-10iA, in turn, offers a 10 kg payload and a brand well known in Polish plants - although sales and service work differently than at Doosan.

We compare the series in more depth in “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland”.

History

Doosan Robotics was founded in 2015 in Suwon, South Korea, as a company of the Doosan group. In 2023 it listed on the KOSPI exchange, making it one of the few cobot makers that are publicly traded. Its portfolio has five series: A, E, M, H and P for palletizing.

The A0912 is the largest member of the Agile (A) series, alongside the smaller A0509. We have no launch date for the A0912 itself and will not guess one.

In Poland the brand is represented by Transition Technologies-Control Solutions. Sources differ on the year: one gives April 2021, another 2022 - so we simply say it has been present for several years. For an overview of the whole range, see the category “Cobots”.
