How much does the Unitree A2 actually cost? The answer depends on which manufacturer or retailer page you visit: Unitree's store shows USD 100,000 as a placeholder value that requires contacting sales, while other price guides give a range of USD 31,900 to 46,900 depending on configuration. The gap is large enough that we treat the stated value as unconfirmed.
In terms of specifications, the A2 is Unitree's newer, premium industrial platform, positioned between the B2 and the top tier of the competition: 42 kg weight, 25 kg payload, speed up to 5 m/s, 5 hours of runtime, two hot-swap batteries and dual industrial LiDAR (front and rear), a rarity in this price class. An optional wheel-leg configuration extends the applications to off-road transport.
Compared with the Unitree B2, the A2 offers power redundancy and a more modern sensor suite, but has a much shorter deployment history and fewer independent reviews. In Poland the robot is not officially available. The A2 is a proposition for companies developing their own logistics, inspection or rescue applications that accept price ambiguity and are ready to negotiate directly with the manufacturer.

Price and availability in Poland
Unitree's store shows USD 100,000 as a placeholder value (contacting sales is required); other price guides give USD 31,900 to 46,900 depending on configuration. Large discrepancy between sources, unverified.
Running and deployment costs
Price is the biggest question mark here. Unitree's store shows USD 100,000 as a placeholder value that requires contacting sales, or PLN 387,600 (≈ EUR 88,660) at the 3.8762 rate of 1 October 2026, while other price guides indicate USD 31,900 to 46,900 depending on configuration (about PLN 123,700 (≈ EUR 28,300) to 181,800). We have one listing from a Polish shop dated 28 Sept 2026: PLN 195,000 (≈ EUR 44,610) (x-kom.pl), well above the guide prices. As a rough estimate, the purchase will be joined by software, accessories (extra batteries, a charger) and the work of the team that writes the application. The process of calculating the total cost is described in “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”.

Applications
What it's for
The Unitree A2 Unitree Robotics is an industrial quadruped: 42 kg, 25 kg payload, speed up to 5 m/s, two hot-swap batteries and 5 hours of runtime. It has two industrial LiDARs (front and rear), an HD camera and a headlight, which lets it see in poor lighting. The manufacturer and guides point to three areas: logistics, industrial inspection and rescue operations. Specifically: (1) inspecting halls, switchrooms and tunnels, where the robot takes photos and walks a route, see factories; (2) patrolling sites and infrastructure, see security; (3) construction sites, monitoring progress and recording conditions, see construction sites; (4) rescue and off-road transport, where the wheel-leg option extends range. Swapping batteries mid-work means no downtime for charging. This is a platform for teams that write their own applications, not a robot "out of the box". You can read more about quadrupeds in industrial applications in “Quadruped Robots: Uses in Inspection, Security and Industry”, and the category overview is at quadruped robots. How to read parameters such as payload, IP rating or runtime is explained in “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”. It is also worth knowing the components such robots are built on, for example Hesai (LiDAR) or NVIDIA Jetson (onboard computer).
Typical applications
Who it's for
Worth considering for: R&D teams, integrators and companies developing their own inspection, logistics or rescue applications that accept price ambiguity and are ready to negotiate with the manufacturer or a distributor. Who it is not for: those who need a ready-made, certified inspection solution with support and references; the A2 has a shorter deployment history and fewer independent reviews than longer-established competitors. Nor is it for people looking for a cheap robot dog to play with; the Unitree Go2 is for that. If the robot is to work in explosion-hazard areas, separate certifications are needed, and we found none.
Deployments
In Poland, no confirmed deployments of the A2; we have no information on its use. As for availability, the information is contradictory: it is listed as available through the seller x-kom.pl, but the model description states there is no official distribution. The category does include documented deployments of competitors: the MAB Honey Badger in Poznań's district-heating tunnels since 2023. The media have also described military experiments with the Go1 and Go2, but they do not concern the A2. Details on applications: “Quadruped Robots: Uses in Inspection, Security and Industry”.
Comparison
The older, stronger sibling: Unitree B2, with a longer deployment history and, according to its description, a payload of up to 120 kg, but also an unclear price. Serious inspection competitors: Boston Dynamics Spot, 14 kg payload, about PLN 288,777 (≈ EUR 66,060), not available in Poland; ANYbotics ANYmal D, 10 kg, IP67, thermal camera, price on request; DEEP Robotics X30, an industrial quadruped with IP67, about USD 65,000 (about PLN 251,950 (≈ EUR 57,630)). Local: MAB Robotics Honey Badger 4.0, a Polish, waterproof (IP67) inspection robot used since 2023 in the district-heating tunnels of Poznań; 4 kg payload, so smaller, but with Polish support. The choice therefore depends on whether what counts is the A2's strength, Spot's documentation or domestic service.
