The home version of the Figure 03 is for now an announcement, not a product. Figure AI presented it in October 2025 as the target variant of the same humanoid, with washable, soft outer textiles, wireless charging and an audio system optimized for voice communication.

As of September 2026 the robot is still being tested only in industrial environments with Figure's partners, and the company names 2028 as the goal for the first home humanoids, not just its own but the whole industry's. There is no technical specification for the home variant (height, weight, degrees of freedom), no price and no launch date, even though an unconfirmed figure of USD 20,000 circulates online. a third-party blog gives it without a source, so it can't be treated as reliable.

In the home humanoid market, Figure competes with declarations against the Tesla Optimus and the 1X Neo, but unlike them it doesn't even have an open pre-order list. For an individual customer in Poland the model remains only an announcement with no practical significance: worth following, but not worth planning a purchase around.

Running and deployment costs

Purchase: for the home variant there is no official price whatsoever, no pre-order and no distribution channel. The circulating figure of USD 20,000 is unconfirmed: it comes from a single blog and we have no primary source for it, so we don't use it in any calculation.

Operation and training: as a rough estimate, a humanoid of this class needs charging, insurance, software updates and service; there is no manufacturer data on this, so any number would be guesswork. A method you can apply once figures appear is described in “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”. An overview of the prices of humanoids you can already order is in “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”.

A home consumer purchase won't qualify.

What it's for

The home version of the Figure 03 is for now an announcement from a presentation, not a product available in homes. Figure AI showed it in October 2025 as the target version of the same humanoid, with washable, soft textiles on the outside, wireless charging and an audio system tuned for conversation. The robot is to be powered by the Helix system, an AI model known in the industry as VLA (we describe it in “VLA Models: How AI Controls Humanoid Robots in 2026”).

What is realistically possible today? According to the sources in our catalog, the robot is tested only in industrial environments with Figure's partners. In industry the scenario is concrete: moving parts on a line, sorting, working at stations designed for people. The previous generation, the Figure 02, supported the production of more than 30,000 vehicles at the BMW plant in Spartanburg. For the home, Figure names 2028 as an indicative goal for the industry's first home humanoids, not as its own launch date.

Which sectors could benefit once the technology matures? Home and senior care (homes) is the direction announced outright. The factory (factories) is where this robot family already works today. Retail and hospitality are only guesswork; Figure announces nothing of the kind, so there is no point planning around it. The manufacturer hasn't published any specification of the home variant: no height, weight, degrees of freedom or payload. If you want to understand what such numbers mean, an explanation is in the article on “Degrees of Freedom (DOF) in Humanoid Robots”.

Typical applications

  • Industrial pilot projects (currently)
  • Household (long-term goal)

Who it's for

Nobody can buy this robot today: there is no price, no pre-order and no distribution channel. It makes sense as something to watch for three groups. First, people following the humanoid market who want to know who will deliver a real home product first; a comparison of the forces at play is in “Humanoid Robot Market Forecasts”. Second, large manufacturing companies interested in the industrial version. Third, investors and journalists, for whom the USD 39 billion valuation is a separate topic.

Probably not for: Families looking for help at home within the next two years: this is an announcement with no sale date. Don't plan a budget around the USD 20,000 figure circulating online; a third-party blog gives it without a source. If you need a robot you can order right now, check the 1X NEO, which has open pre-orders, or models in the humanoid robots category marked in our service as available. Nor is it a model for Polish companies looking for a deployment: there is no distribution in Poland.

Deployments

The home variant has no deployments whatsoever; it is tested only in its partners' industrial environments. In Poland there are no confirmed Figure deployments at all. Worldwide, the best documented is the predecessor: the Figure 02 supported production of more than 30,000 vehicles at the BMW plant in Spartanburg (May 2025). What is happening in this category in production plants is described in “Humanoid Robots in Factories 2026”; a full assessment of the Figure 03 is in “Figure 03: What We Know About Figure AI's Third-Generation Robot”.

Comparison

If you want to see what you can buy or order today, look at the models below.

1X NEO: conceptually the closest home robot with open pre-orders; in our catalog it appears at a price of about PLN 77,524 (≈ EUR 17,760 at NBP rate 4.3641 of 21 October 2026), so you can compare promises against a real offer. More in “1X Neo Home Robot on Pre-Order”.

Figure 03: the base version of the same humanoid, described in detail; the company reported that more than 350 units have been delivered and that production reached a pace of one robot per hour.

Tesla Optimus Gen 3: a competitor with similar home-use claims, still at the concept stage; a good reference point for judging who says more and who shows more.

Unitree G1: a humanoid that is actually sold, for about PLN 52,300 (≈ EUR 11,980), letting you test walking and manipulation today, though without any home-help ambitions.
