Summary

The ONE is a versatile, omnidirectional AMR from Austria's AGILOX, designed for flexible material transport in the narrow aisles of production halls. Like the manufacturer's other models, it uses the decentralized X-SWARM swarm system: the robots coordinate directly with each other, with no central fleet-management server.

In Poland the ONE is offered by the authorized distributor ASTOR Sp. z o.o., which, unlike with standard sales, allows the robot to be rented before purchase, lowering the entry barrier for companies that want to try automation in practice first.

The manufacturer publishes technical parameters on its own site: a payload of up to 1,000 kg (single scissor lift) or 750 kg (double), dimensions of 1511 x 810 x 1862 mm and a dead weight of 420 kg. It does not, however, give a public price, which is set on request only.

Against competing versatile AMRs such as the MiR250 or Omron LD, the ONE's advantage is precisely the lack of a central point of failure in the fleet and the trial-rental option, while the drawback remains price opacity, which makes initial budget comparisons hard without contacting the distributor.

The model fits best in production plants that want to test internal transport automation before investing in a larger fleet.

Running and deployment costs

Purchase: the manufacturer does not give a price; the robot is sold on request only, so any number on the internet is a guess. Our rough estimate is that an autonomous robot in the 1,000 kg class runs to several hundred thousand zlotys per unit in a configuration with software, but that is only an order of magnitude, not an offer; the real cost depends on the number of robots in the fleet, top modules and integration with the warehouse system.

Middle path: ASTOR allows renting before purchase, which lets you calculate the saving in your own hall before you sign a contract for a whole fleet. Hidden costs to ask the distributor about: installation and hall mapping, training of operators and maintenance staff, fleet software licenses, servicing and wear parts (batteries, wheels), and production downtime for the rollout.

Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację) allows an additional 50% of qualifying costs to be deducted, but it covers brand-new industrial robots and related equipment; whether an AMR qualifies in your case, confirm with a tax advisor. The rules are described in the article “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”, and the method for calculating total cost in “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost” (although it deals with humanoids, the logic is the same).

Applications

What it's for

The AGILOX ONE is an omnidirectional AMR from Austria's AGILOX Automation, designed for flexible material transport in tight corridors between racks and assembly lines. The robot is 186 cm tall, weighs 420 kg and, according to the manufacturer, travels at up to 1.4 m/s, with a payload of up to 1,000 kg with a single scissor lift or 750 kg with a double one.

What does that mean in practice? In a factory: moving pallets and containers between the component store and production cells, with no rebuilding of the hall and no conveyors. In internal logistics: carrying loads between receiving, buffer and dispatch zones. The manufacturer names flexible transport in narrow passages as the main application and looks for customers in industry and manufacturing. The model's greatest strength is the X-SWARM system: the fleet coordinates without a central server. If one robot stops, the rest do not wait for a command from above but choose another route.

This makes sense where the hall layout changes more often than once every few years. For the general background, including how an AMR differs from a classic AGV, see the category “Mobile robots (AMR)” and the article “AMR Robots in the Warehouse”. We also describe typical usage scenes under “Factories and manufacturing” and warehouses.

Who it's for

Makes sense for: mid-sized and large production plants where pallets and carts travel along narrow corridors and the line layout is sometimes rearranged. Companies that want to test automation in practice first: in Poland the distributor, ASTOR, allows renting before purchase, which lowers the entry barrier. Maintenance departments bothered by a single central server as a single point of failure.

Less suited to: small firms that need a few simple moves, because the price is set on request only and a 420 kg robot is an industrial investment. Nor is it a good choice for someone looking for a quick price comparison online: there is simply no public price list. If you need a lighter robot for small loads, take a look at the SAFELOG AGV S3 or the Omron LD-60/90.

Deployments

ASTOR offers the robot, but we do not know of a plant that uses it by name, so we do not pretend to. Our catalog lists no named references from abroad either.

Transport AMRs are the best-documented segment of mobile robotics. Amazon has launched robotized centers in Poland with its own fleet (see Amazon Proteus), and MiR, Omron and KUKA offer transport robots to integrators around the world. If you want to see AGILOX live, ask ASTOR for a reference visit or a trial in the form of a rental.

Comparison

The closest alternatives are other versatile AMRs for internal transport. The MiR250 is the popular 250 kg class with a broad ecosystem of accessories and top modules; choose it when loads are lighter and you value a wide support network. The Omron LD-60/90 is the base version (60 or 90 kg) with a safety laser and sonar, sensible for light transport, not for pallets.

If the loads are truly heavy, look at the OTTO 1500: a payload of up to 1,900 kg and 10 hours on a battery make it a candidate for heavy transport. The KUKA KMP 600P is a compact AMR rated to 600 kg, only 27 cm tall, available in Poland through KUKA Polska; its design differs from AGILOX's because it drives under the load. From the manufacturer's catalog it is also worth comparing the sibling models: the AGILOX OFL (autonomous forklift), the AGILOX OCF and the AGILOX ODM.

History

AGILOX Automation is an Austrian company from Leonding, founded in 2015. Its distinguishing feature from the start has been the decentralized X-SWARM fleet: instead of a server issuing commands to the robots, each robot makes decisions itself and exchanges information with the rest. The ONE is the versatile transport model and belongs to a family of four AMRs that we cover (alongside the OFL, OCF and ODM).

We have no launch date for the ONE, so we do not give one. An important date in Poland is May 2025, when ASTOR introduced the OFL to the domestic market, an autonomous forklift with independently controlled forks, so the AGILOX family is new in ASTOR's Polish offering.
