Summary

In the Omron Robotics lineup, the LD-60/90 sits at the opposite end from the heavy HD-1500. It is an entry-level to mid-range model available in two payload variants, 60 and 90 kg, designed to carry parts and work in progress between workstations.

Navigation relies on safety lasers, a rear sonar and bumpers that detect obstacles at the front; the robot maps its route on its own, with no magnetic tape or beacons. Weight, height, speed and battery runtime are not given.

In this segment its direct competitors are the MiR250 (250 kg), widely present on the Polish market thanks to a network of integrators, and the SAFELOG AGV S3 (150 kg payload, 150 kg own weight, 22 cm height). Both have a clearly higher payload than Omron's 90 kg variant, but the LD-60/90 makes up for it with a refined, industrial-grade safety system.

The price is not published; the model is sold through a network of automation integrators, and its presence in Poland has not been independently verified. The LD-60/90 is mainly suited to light in-plant transport, not to moving pallets.

Running and deployment costs

Purchase: the price is not published; the robot is sold through automation integrators. We therefore do not quote a figure. For scale: in our catalog, Polish AMR prices start at around PLN 67,500 (≈ EUR 15,470 at NBP rate 4.3641 of 21 October 2026) (Pudu T300), but that is a different brand and a different class of equipment, so treat it purely as a rough orientation. The calculation should include integration and route mapping, fleet-management software, a charging station, operator training and service. These are usually separate line items in an integrator's quote. Training is short, but preparing the process - where the robot picks up a load and where it drops it - takes engineers' time. Robotization tax relief: Poland's ulga na robotyzację gives a 50% additional deduction for industrial robots, including software and training, for expenses in 2022-2026; according to the source, 2026 is the last year. The condition is a brand-new robot meeting four criteria set out in the law. See “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief” and “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step” - the purchasing logic is similar.

Applications

What it's for

The Omron LD-60/90 is an AMR (autonomous mobile robot) for carrying parts and work in progress between workstations. The manufacturer offers two payload variants, 60 and 90 kg. It is a light machine for small items: crates, trays, components. Not for pallets. Navigation is based on safety lasers, a rear sonar and bumpers that detect obstacles at the front. The robot maps its route on its own, without magnetic tape or beacons, so changing the layout of a line does not mean rebuilding the floor. Omron emphasizes this feature across the whole LD/MD/HD family: no floor infrastructure. Typical uses in this class include electronics assembly, parts production, small-scale in-plant logistics and moving materials between the shop floor and a local stockroom. We do not have weight, height, speed or battery runtime, so we will not guess. More at mobile robots, factories, warehouses.

Typical applications

  • Parts/WIP transport between workstations

Who it's for

Best suited to: manufacturing plants that move light loads between workstations and want to automate this without rebuilding the hall. Companies that already work with an automation integrator - Omron sells through a network of integrators, not off the shelf. Departments where the safety of people working next to the machine is crucial: safety-rated lasers are a real argument here.

Who it is not for: logisticians with pallets - the 90 kg variant will not carry a pallet. Those who need an open price and a full datasheet: there is no price, and mass, speed and runtime are missing too. Those looking for a quick purchase in Poland: the model's presence in our country has not been independently verified. It is worth reading “How to Read a Robot Datasheet” before talking to a supplier.

Deployments

Omron sells through a network of automation integrators. Other AMR solutions operate in Poland: MiR is widely present thanks to integrators, KUKA offers KMP platforms through KUKA Polska, and AGILOX ONE reaches customers through ASTOR. That makes a handy cheat sheet when you ask for references. We describe the market in “AMR Robots in the Warehouse”.

Comparison

The light AMR segment is crowded.

MiR250 has a 250 kg payload, is widely present on the Polish market thanks to a network of integrators, and offers clearly more capacity than Omron's 90 kg variant.

SAFELOG AGV S3 is a compact unit 22 cm high with a 150 kg payload and the ability to tow up to 500 kg; the manufacturer publishes full data, but the price and availability in Poland are unknown.

Pudu T300 carries 300 kg, complies with ISO 3691-4, drives without defined routes and is available in Poland - at about PLN 67,500 (≈ EUR 15,470) in our catalog.

OTTO 100 is the 150 kg class from Canada's OTTO. Choose it if you value VDA5050 compliance across the whole family.

The LD-60/90 makes up for its smaller payload with a refined, industrial-grade safety system.

History

Omron Robotics belongs to the Japanese industrial automation group from Kyoto, listed on the Tokyo stock exchange under the number 6645. Its lineup includes the LD, MD and HD series of AMRs. The LD-60/90 stands at the opposite pole from the heavy HD-1500: it is an entry-level or mid-range model, while the HD-1500 is for heavy-duty tasks. We have no documented launch date for the LD-60/90 or a list of generations, so we do not give a year we cannot confirm. The context matters: Omron combines mobile robots with controllers and safety systems in a single factory ecosystem - hence the emphasis on safety-rated lasers. See Omron Robotics.
