Kangaroo from Spain's PAL Robotics (Barcelona, founded 2004) is a research platform built around modularity: the arms can be ordered in 4-, 5- or 7-DOF versions, which directly changes the payload. The 4-DOF variant lifts 7 kg with one arm extended and as much as 30 kg with both arms, while the more precise 7-DOF variant carries only 3 kg and 25 kg respectively.
The EtherCAT control loop runs at 2 kHz, and the robot weighs about 58 kg in a typical configuration at a height of 1.60 m (the manufacturer gives a range of 50 to 65 kg depending on equipment). A 976 Wh battery (15 Ah/63 V) powers the system, though the runtime is not stated.
Within PAL's own family, compared with the taller and heavier TALOS (175 cm/95 kg, 6 kg payload), Kangaroo favors configuration flexibility over raw strength. Against the commercially available Unitree G1 EDU (132 cm/35 kg), Kangaroo is far more expensive and harder to get, but it offers the full arm configurability typical of laboratory hardware.
The price is not published: PAL sells project by project to research centers, and the robot is not available in Poland as a commercial product.

Frequently asked questions
Is the PAL Robotics Kangaroo available in Poland?
No. The PAL Robotics Kangaroo is a prototype or research platform with no commercial offer in Poland; any sale would be announced by the manufacturer (Spain).
What payload does the PAL Robotics Kangaroo have?
It depends on the arm variant: 4-DOF lifts 7 kg with one hand or 30 kg with both, and the more precise 7-DOF lifts 3 kg and 25 kg respectively.
What are Kangaroo's weight and height?
The manufacturer gives a weight range of 50 to 65 kg depending on configuration, at a height of 1.60 m; the midpoint value of 58 kg is used here.
Can the Kangaroo be bought in Poland?
No. It is a research platform sold project by project to scientific institutions and is not commercially available on the Polish market.
