The Atom Max is the research configuration of Dobot's humanoid, the model that Robolupa lists as the Dobot Atom with 28 upper-body degrees of freedom. The Max raises the count to 41: 29 in the body plus two 6-DoF dexterous hands. Dobot itself confirms the degrees of freedom, the hands, a 1,500 TOPS compute module and an Intel RealSense D455 alongside a Full HD stereo camera running at 60 fps.
The remaining figures come from the distributor OpenELAB: about 1.65 m tall, roughly 58 kg without hands, 3.5 kg per arm, straight-knee walking at up to 1.5 m/s (5.4 km/h), a 3D LiDAR and RGB-D cameras in the head, wrists and hip, and a computer with an Intel i9 and a 16 GB GDDR6 graphics card. The distributor also states two hours of runtime and one hour of charging, which the maker does not confirm.
An optional embodied-AI kit adds a URDF file, an open training framework and data tools, and VR or MR headsets provide teleoperation for data collection. The intended users are universities and research labs. The EDU package including two hands was listed by OpenELAB at 102,339.95 euros (October 2026, sold out); other resellers quote different prices.
Buyers should note that the plain research version is sold without hands.
