Summary

The LUS 2 is the full-size general-purpose humanoid of Lumos Robotics, a company founded in September 2024 in Shenzhen with a second office in Suzhou. It stands 160 cm tall and weighs 57 kg. Its 28 joint modules are distributed as six per leg, one at the waist and seven per arm, with peak joint torque of up to 360 N·m and a single-arm capacity of 3 kg.

Perception combines a 3D LiDAR, a binocular depth camera and a four-microphone array; an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin with 275 TOPS does the computing. The ternary lithium battery delivers 10 Ah at 54 V, roughly 540 Wh, for about 2 hours of operation. Lumos highlights a straight-leg natural gait and the ability to stand up within one second.

Hands are configurable, and the architecture is open to researchers through an SDK. Fields of use are research labs, interaction and entertainment and industrial demonstrations. Walking speed is not stated. The robot is on sale, with pricing on request through the maker's partnerships channel. Its small sibling is the NIX; a rival in the 160 cm class is the EngineAI SE01.
