Available in PolandThe Lynx is DEEP Robotics' hybrid wheeled-legged robot, unveiled in 2024 and on sale since 2025. It combines the speed of driving on wheels with the mobility of legs: it continuously climbs steps 22-25 cm high, scales platforms up to 80 cm and slopes of 45 degrees, with IP66 protection and hot-swappable dual-direction batteries.
The base Lynx starts at about USD 17,999 (about PLN 69,768 (≈ EUR 15,990) at the rate of 3.8762 from 1.10.2026), and the fully equipped Lynx M20 Pro costs from about USD 61,200. Compared with the same company's more heavily armored industrial X30, the Lynx has a lower ingress rating (IP66 instead of IP67) and a shorter field service record, but makes up for it with a hybrid locomotion that is rare among rivals in this mid-range industrial segment.
The model is not yet available on the Polish market.

The base Lynx starts at USD 17,999; the Lynx M20 Pro (fully equipped) starts at USD 61,200.
The base Lynx costs from about USD 17,999, or about PLN 69,800 (≈ EUR 15,990) at the rate of 3.8762 from 1.10.2026. The full configuration, the Lynx M20 Pro, starts at about USD 61,200, or about PLN 237,200 (≈ EUR 54,350). The spread is large, and the difference comes from sensors and onboard computers. In the Polish shop deltarobots.com the Lynx was listed at PLN 154,900 (≈ EUR 35,490) (data from 28.09.2026). That amount lies between the base version and the M20 Pro, so before buying you need to establish which configuration stands behind the offer. Running costs: two swappable batteries cost extra (roughly several to a dozen or so thousand zlotys per set, an estimate not backed by manufacturer data), but they eliminate downtime. Service and parts: ask the supplier about a warranty package. Operator training: a few days, as a rough estimate.

The Lynx combines two modes of movement: it is a wheeled-legged hybrid that drives wherever it can and walks wherever it must. As far as we can tell, it reaches up to 5 m/s, carries 15 kg, weighs 35 kg, stands 57 cm tall and has 16 degrees of freedom. Its terrain abilities are concrete: it climbs steps of 22-25 cm, scales platforms up to 80 cm and walks up slopes of 45 degrees. IP66 protection and hot-swappable batteries allow work with almost no breaks, and the full sensor set consists of two 96-line 360°x90° LiDARs and two wide-angle cameras. Onboard computing comes from two eight-core industrial processors (16 GB + 128 GB). Industry and energy: inspecting large facilities where straight stretches mix with obstacles. Security: patrolling grounds where speed of getting to an incident matters. Research and reconnaissance: quickly exploring an unknown space, for example after a failure or in a building after renovation. Limitations: battery life is about 3 hours, but hot-swapping shortens downtime. A 15 kg payload is enough for sensors and light equipment, not for heavier transport tasks; there the larger Unitree B2 wins. More about the world of quadrupeds in “Quadruped Robots: Uses in Inspection, Security and Industry”, and applications in security, factories and construction sites.
Makes sense for: inspection teams, security services and energy companies that work on large, mixed terrain and value speed of getting to a location. Laboratories and research departments that want to test an idea on hybrid locomotion. Integrators who need a platform with good sensors and two onboard computers.
Who it does not suit: buyers who want the lowest price, because the Lynx is not an educational toy. Also applications that demand the highest sealing: IP66 is very good, but the industrial DEEP Robotics X30 has IP67. Be careful if a long service record matters to you: the model has been on sale only since 2025, so the body of field experience is shorter than for the Boston Dynamics Spot.
A practical tip: map your routes. If most are flat stretches with a few flights of stairs, the Lynx will pay off well. If most are full off-road terrain, a classic quadruped is the better choice.
We have no confirmed Lynx deployments at specific customers. Sales have run since 2025, and the applications reported by the manufacturer are inspection in difficult terrain, security and reconnaissance. In Poland: the robot is offered by the shop deltarobots.com, but there are no confirmed deployments in Poland. If you are looking for references, ask for a contact with users in Europe. The quadruped category in the country is also represented by the MAB Robotics Honey Badger 4.0, a robot from the Poznań company MAB Robotics with an IP67 rating and direct sales.
The alternatives differ in payload, runtime, ingress protection and mode of movement.
Unitree B2: payload 40 kg versus 15 kg and five hours of operation versus 3, speed 6.0 m/s. Heavier (60 kg) and better for transport; the price we have on record is about PLN 387,620 (≈ EUR 88,820).
Boston Dynamics Spot: the benchmark for inspection, with a software ecosystem and a track record since 2020. Slower (1.6 m/s) and more expensive.
DEEP Robotics X30: the same manufacturer, IP67 and a more heavily armored design, but without a wheeled mode.
ANYbotics ANYmal D: sensing for industrial inspection, with a thermal camera, zoom and an ultrasonic microphone. Slow (0.75 m/s) and geared toward accuracy. The choice is best based on the routes the robot will travel: straight stretches favor wheels, full terrain favors legs, and stairs require both at once. We explain how to read such parameters in “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”.

DEEP Robotics (Hangzhou Deep Robotics)
The Lynx (in its full version, the Lynx M20 Pro) was unveiled in 2024 and has been on sale since 2025. DEEP Robotics is a Chinese company from Hangzhou, founded in 2017, which until now was associated mainly with quadrupeds: the Lite3, X20 and X30.
The Lynx breaks that pattern. Instead of another version of four legs, the company showed a robot that drives on wheels and walks on legs. It is an answer to a problem every quadruped operator knows: legs are slow on the straight. In the company's history it is thus a step from a pure quadruped to a mobile platform, which we discuss in the context of the family with the DEEP Robotics Lite3 and the DEEP Robotics X30.
