Israel's Robotemi Global develops temi, a personal and telepresence robot shaped like a touchscreen on wheels with autonomous navigation, used in reception areas, healthcare facilities and for remote presence. Sales run through regional resellers, including the US-based RobotLAB and Germany's Roboterly and BerryBase, which sets temi apart from manufacturers that sell only directly, such as Stäubli in Poland.

The latest version is temi V3. The manufacturer does not publish pricing, units sold or its commercial presence in Poland, and none of the resellers named directly covers the Polish market. For medical facilities and receptions looking for a cheaper alternative to costlier telepresence robots, temi can be a starting point for checking local availability.

History and development

Robotemi Global Ltd. is an Israeli company that develops temi — a personal and telepresence robot in the form of a touchscreen on wheels, with autonomous navigation. The manufacturer does not state a founding year, headquarters city or funding data, so we do not fill in those elements. What is known is that the robot is used in receptions, in healthcare facilities and for remote presence, meaning a situation in which a person elsewhere “drives” the robot around a room and talks through the screen. The latest version is temi V3. Especially important for the company's story is its distribution model: temi is sold mainly through regional resellers, such as the American RobotLAB and the German Roboterly and BerryBase, and not only directly. Such a structure allows many markets to be covered quickly but passes part of the responsibility for support and service to intermediaries. We describe the wider background of the category in service robots and the general terms in “Robotics Glossary: 65 Terms with Polish Equivalents”; a similar type of guest-interaction robot is presented in “Service Robots in Restaurants and Hotels”. The manufacturer does not say how many users rely on the robot today.

Portfolio

In our catalog the company is represented by temi V3, a reception and telepresence robot in the service robots category. The WiFi version costs 4,499 USD to buy (about 17,439 PLN (≈ EUR 4,000) at the NBP rate of 1 October 2026) or from 125 USD a month in a robot-as-a-service (RaaS) model; the cellular version costs 5,499 USD. The uses named are telepresence, guiding visitors and reception duties, and the target groups are healthcare, receptions and remote presence. The manufacturer does not state weight, dimensions, payload or battery life, so those values are absent here. That is a significant gap: for a robot meant to travel the corridors of a hospital or office, width, stability and runtime are key. How to assess such gaps is explained in “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”, and the combined cost of renting and buying can be worked out with the help of “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”, although it concerns a different class of machine. A screen with a camera in a public place also raises data questions, discussed in “Data Security: Robots with Cameras and the GDPR”. The cellular version makes sense where stable WiFi is lacking.

Market position

What sets temi apart from many manufacturers is a sales model based on regional resellers, in contrast to firms that sell only directly, such as Stäubli in Poland, described in the profile Stäubli International. In the segment of reception and guest-interaction robots it is neighbored by, among others, Aldebaran Robotics with the Pepper robot (Pepper) and Pudu Robotics and Keenon Robotics, which more often focus on delivery robots. Temi's advantage is its simple form — a screen on wheels — and a low entry threshold thanks to a subscription from 125 USD. Its weakness is that the sources we checked give no data on units sold or on technical parameters, which makes the scale hard to judge. The manufacturer does not publish those figures, so we assess its market position cautiously. For a facility that wants to try a robot at reception, the subscription reduces risk: you can cancel if guests or staff do not take to it. Over several years of use, on the other hand, purchase usually works out cheaper, which has to be calculated for your own number of working hours.

Presence in Poland

The manufacturer gives no data on a commercial presence in Poland, and our catalog holds no confirmed Polish distributor. None of the named resellers — RobotLAB, Roboterly and BerryBase — directly covers the Polish market. An interested facility would therefore have to ask about import, warranty and Polish-language support case by case. Healthcare use is described on the page “Hospitals and rehabilitation”, and domestic robotics suppliers in the overview “Polish Robotics Companies”. Before buying, ask directly where a damaged unit will be sent for repair and how long a replacement will take, because with a robot at reception downtime is visible to every guest. The question of the interface's language version is just as important.

Editorial verdict

Temi is a simple and relatively cheap way to introduce telepresence or a robot receptionist into an office or medical facility. The lack of technical parameters and of confirmed support in Poland calls for caution, however. Before ordering, settle service, warranty and data policy. If you need a robot for remote conversations that simply drives around and shows the other person's face, temi is a reasonable candidate for a trial. For a serious deployment, though, the missing data has to be obtained before a decision is made.
