Bolt is a humanoid built to run. The Humanoid Robotics Research Institute at Zhejiang University's HIC centre unveiled it on 4 February 2026 together with Beijing-based MirrorMe Technology and the Kaierda Group, calling it the first full-size humanoid to reach a peak running speed of 10 m/s, recorded without any speed enhancement.

Summary

Bolt is a humanoid built to run. The Humanoid Robotics Research Institute at Zhejiang University's HIC centre unveiled it on 4 February 2026 together with Beijing-based MirrorMe Technology and the Kaierda Group, calling it the first full-size humanoid to reach a peak running speed of 10 m/s, recorded without any speed enhancement.

The maker now claims more than 11 m/s, which is about 39.6 km/h. The robot stands 175 cm tall, weighs 75 kg and, according to MirrorMe's product page, carries 50 kg. The performance rests on newly designed joints, a high-power drive system and whole-body control. In August 2026 Bolt competed at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing.

The team names sports science, emergency response and industrial inspection as intended fields, but for now the robot is a research demonstrator at prototype stage. Joint count, runtime and sensors have not been disclosed. MirrorMe offers an order form on its website, yet the price is on request.

Note that a Shanghai government page attributes the robot to a company named JingShi Technology, which appears to be MirrorMe's Chinese name, though the relationship is not fully documented. Most catalogue humanoids, such as the Unitree H2, move at a fraction of this speed.
