Sixty-two degrees of freedom is an unusual count for a biped, and it is the headline figure of the CYBORG R01 from Shenzhen-based Cyborg Robotics. Sixteen of those sit in each of the company's own five-finger hands. The robot stands 1.80 m tall and comes in two versions: the SE at 75 kg with a 48 V, 15 Ah main battery (about 720 Wh) and the PRO at 80 kg with a 48 V, 30 Ah pack (about 1,440 Wh).
Both carry a 48 V, 3.5 Ah reserve cell so the main battery can be hot-swapped in roughly a minute; runtime itself is not stated. The two arms together handle more than 20 kg. Joints use high-torque-density modules supplemented by linear actuators.
Perception comes from a fisheye and an RGB-D camera, an IMU, a LiDAR, six-axis force sensors and a four-microphone array, processed by a 12-core computer rated at 275 TOPS. On the software side the maker cites its OMCI system with large-model dialogue and a five-level safety control scheme; teleoperation is supported.
The company aims the R01 at inspection and handling in hazardous industries such as power, gas, chemicals and coal, as well as data collection and education. A data sheet with variants points to sales, although availability is not expressly confirmed; price on request. The same maker's wheeled CYBORG W01 shares the hands and compute but trades legs for carrying capacity.
