LimX Dynamics of Shenzhen unveiled the TRON 2 in December 2025 as a shape-shifting successor to the LimX Dynamics TRON 1: the same modular hardware can be assembled as a dual-arm torso, a bipedal humanoid or a wheeled-leg machine. Each 7-DoF arm spans 70 cm and lifts 5 kg, the standard gripper opens 85 mm with 20 N of force, and a dexterous hand is optional.
With 5-DoF legs and a 2-DoF head the three-in-one build has 26 joints in total. On point feet the robot walks at up to 3 m/s, on wheels it reaches 5 m/s, it climbs 30 and 15 degree slopes, clears 20 cm obstacles and lifts up to 30 kg from the floor with both arms.
RGB-D cameras in head, wrists and waist plus an IMU feed a software stack with Python and C++ SDKs, ROS 1 and ROS 2, LimX Studio and a simulator; VR teleoperation at 100 ms latency is built for collecting VLA training data. A swappable 9 Ah, 46.8 V battery charges from 20 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. LimX does not state height, weight or runtime.
The Robot Report quoted USD 20,000 for the dual-arm EDU and USD 25,000 for the three-in-one EDU in December 2025; RobotShop EU listed the armless two-in-one EDU at EUR 23,100 as a special order in October 2026.
