Summary

Sherpa Mecha puts two arms on the autonomous mobile base of the Sherpa family that Ati Motors of Bengaluru has built since 2017. The machine was unveiled in July 2025 at the company's Product Day. A telescopic torso extends from 1,100 to 2,000 mm and the arms reach 900 mm, so the robot can serve low pallets as well as tall machine stations.

The two carbon-fibre arms share 19 degrees of freedom, the payload rating is 12 kg, and the base drives at 1.5 m/s. Two 55 Ah batteries recharge in two hours; the maker does not state the voltage, so the capacity in watt-hours cannot be derived. Navigation relies on a 3D LiDAR and cameras together with Ati's Sherpa navigation stack and material-flow orchestration.

According to Ati the robot works without a safety cage thanks to person detection. Machine tending and material handling in factories are the target applications, and a partner programme is offered to universities. Gripper type, total weight, runtime and price are undisclosed; pricing is on request and the status is prototype.

In the same category of two-armed wheeled platforms the catalogue lists the Chinese Mantis Standard and the heavier AGIBOT G1.
