Summary

Before Noble Machines took its current name, the Sunnyvale company traded as Under Control Robotics and built a first Moby humanoid aimed at research, education and light indoor service work.

That early biped is no longer documented on the maker's website, so its height, weight, joint count, carrying capacity and runtime are not published; this catalogue does not reproduce figures that circulate only in third-party listings. Whether the first generation was ever sold is equally unclear, which is why it is recorded here as a prototype.

The company exited stealth in March 2026 with an industrial Moby, listed separately as Moby: the maker rates it for 23 kg, around five hours of operation and 0.8 m/s, while Robot Report wrote in March 2026 of up to 27 kg and first deployments with a Fortune Global 500 customer. A further generation has been announced.

The founding team came from Apple, SpaceX, NASA and Caltech, with Wei Ding as chief executive. No price was ever published for the original robot, and it should be treated as unavailable today.
