The Vision 60, also known as the Q-UGV, is a quadruped robot from the American company Ghost Robotics, built for military use and facility security rather than for industrial inspection, as most competing quadrupeds are. The IP67-rated design operates across a temperature range from -40°C to 55°C, and rubber Vibram treads are meant to provide grip on difficult terrain.
The robot weighs 51 kg, stands 68.5 cm tall, has 12 degrees of freedom, a 10 kg payload and reaches 2.4 m/s; battery runtime is about 3.15 hours. The suggested price is roughly USD 150,000 (about PLN 581,430 (≈ EUR 133,000) at the NBP rate of 3.8762 from 1 October 2026; moreover, the attribution of this price to a "2025 US DHS market survey" is not confirmed by any independent source), and a fully equipped tactical unit can, according to press reports, exceed USD 250,000 — the manufacturer, however, publishes no current price list, and configuration requires a request for quotation.
Unlike civilian inspection quadrupeds, used for example in the energy industry, the Vision 60 is sold mainly through government and defense channels. Its strength is environmental resilience and an established position in the US defense sector; its weakness is the complete absence from the European and Polish markets and an opaque, high price.

Running and deployment costs
Purchase: the source (antonrobots.com) gives a suggested price of about USD 150,000, which at the NBP rate of 3.8762 from 1 October 2026 comes to about PLN 581,430 (≈ EUR 133,000). At the NBP rate of 1 October 2026 (3.8762) it is already about PLN 581,430 (≈ EUR 133,000). In a full tactical configuration the figure can, according to press reports, exceed USD 250,000. The manufacturer publishes no price list and configuration requires a request for quotation; attributing the price to a "2025 DHS market survey" is not independently confirmed — treat the amounts as indicative.
Running costs: as a rough estimate, add spare batteries (runtime is about 3.15 hours), a charging station, communications modules and servicing; without a local distributor, part of the cost is shipping to service abroad.
Training: operators practice piloting and missions — time and cost depend on the contract, and the manufacturer publishes no rates.
For a total-cost formula, see “Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost”.

Applications
What it's for
The Ghost Robotics Vision 60, also known as the Q-UGV, is a four-legged robot designed for difficult terrain and harsh weather, where a wheeled vehicle would get stuck. This is not yet another inspection robot for a factory hall; the manufacturer aims it at defense, facility security and tactical reconnaissance.
The design is IP67-rated and works from −40°C to 55°C. Rubber Vibram treads are meant to give grip on difficult terrain. The robot weighs 51 kg, stands 68.5 cm tall, has 12 degrees of freedom, a 10 kg payload and reaches 2.4 m/s; on battery it runs for about 3.15 hours.
Practical scenarios:
— perimeter patrol and facility security (security): repeatable routes across terrain where a human would be exposed;
— tactical reconnaissance: five 1080p RGB cameras, four depth sensors and dual-antenna RTK-GPS give precise positioning;
— tasks for agencies and authorities in environments where an ordinary civilian robot would not survive: dust, rain, frost;
— testing in extreme conditions.
Onboard is an NVIDIA Xavier computer with 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of NVMe storage, so data is processed on the robot itself. For how quadrupeds look in civilian use, read “Quadruped Robots: Uses in Inspection, Security and Industry”; the Vision 60 is its more military cousin.
Typical applications
Who it's for
A good fit: government and defense institutions and security services that need a robot for work in the field and in extreme conditions, know the request-for-quotation purchasing process, and have a budget of several hundred thousand zlotys.
Not a good choice for: industrial plants looking for a quadruped to inspect pipelines and switchgear — there the ANYbotics ANYmal D or Boston Dynamics Spot are more practical, along with the solutions described in “Boston Dynamics Spot: Price, Uses and Availability in Poland”. Not for companies that need local service in Poland, since none appears in the sources. Not for universities on a tight budget: an inexpensive quadruped (Unitree Go2 at around PLN 6,200 (≈ EUR 1,420)) gives far more for teaching. If a camera patrol makes sense in your company, think through the legal issues covered in “Data Security: Robots with Cameras and the GDPR”.
Deployments
The sources point to the government and defense channel but name no units, contracts or number of machines — so we do not repeat what cannot be verified.
What is available in the category: in Poland, civilian deployments most often involve Unitree and Boston Dynamics quadrupeds, described in “Unitree Go2 Review: Prices and the Air, Pro, X and EDU Versions” and “Boston Dynamics Spot: Price, Uses and Availability in Poland”. If you are looking for a security robot and do not need military specifications, look at the DEEP Robotics X30 as a cheaper industrial counterpart.
Comparison
Boston Dynamics Spot — the best-known quadruped; 33.8 kg, 90 minutes of runtime, 14 kg payload. Aimed mainly at industrial inspection, energy and construction; better documented and described in Poland.
ANYbotics ANYmal D — a Swiss inspection robot with IP67, a thermal camera and a 10 kg payload; price on request. Best when the task is industrial inspection in hazardous zones.
DEEP Robotics X30 — an industrial IP67 quadruped from DEEP Robotics, around USD 65,000 (about PLN 251,950 (≈ EUR 57,630)) according to a reseller; much cheaper than the Vision 60 and with clear pricing.
Unitree B2 — payload up to 120 kg, 4–6 hours of runtime, speed above 6 m/s; the price is unclear, estimated across a wide range. Choose it when you need more power and endurance than the Vision 60 offers.

History
Ghost Robotics is an American company in the quadruped sector whose main product is the Vision 60; its founding date and city are not available (Ghost Robotics). The Vision 60, also known as the Q-UGV, is described in the sources as a quadruped sold mainly through government and defense channels.
There is no launch date, list of generations or milestones from the manufacturer's timeline available, and we do not guess at them. Comparisons show that Ghost Robotics' position differs from Boston Dynamics' (Boston Dynamics): less civilian inspection, more of the defense market.
