Flexiv AICO 2

The AICO 2 takes Flexiv's force-controlled arm technology, known from the Rizon cobots such as the Flexiv Rizon 4, and puts it on wheels. Flexiv, founded in June 2016, mounts two 7-axis arms, 14 degrees of freedom in total, on a two-wheel differential-drive base that navigates by laser SLAM.

Two variants are offered: the AICO 2-4 with 4 kg per arm, 281 kg weight, 876 mm reach and six hours of runtime, and the AICO 2-10 with 10 kg per arm, 395 kg, 845 mm reach and four hours. Both achieve plus or minus 0.05 mm repeatability and operate between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius. Force sensing resolves 0.1 N, and 0.03 N on selected axes, which is what makes compliant assembly and delicate handling possible.

Control runs through the Flexiv RDK with 1 kHz real-time regulation. The maker does not publish height, driving speed or an ingress protection rating. The platform is on sale, price on request, and is intended for flexible industrial automation, logistics and research. For plants that do not need a mobile base, Flexiv offers the stationary Flexiv MICO with the same precision.
