RoBee R (Series R)

Certification is what separates the RoBee R from most of its peers: Oversonic Robotics of Carate Brianza, Italy, sells the Series R as a CE-marked machine under Directive 2006/42/EC with EMC compliance, SIL 3 obstacle detection, ISO class 6 cleanroom suitability, a CE Medical Class 1 listing on its website and ATEX on request.

The cognitive humanoid torso rides on an omnidirectional AMR base with a 65 by 71 cm footprint, adjusts between 165 and 199 cm in height and weighs up to 293 kg. It travels at 1.2 m/s, climbs 8 percent grades, lifts 7.5 kg per arm or 15 kg with both, tows 50 kg and reaches 95 cm. Two swappable lithium-ion batteries with inductive recharging typically give 8 hours.

Sensing includes a 3D laser, lidar, depth cameras, a face-recognition camera, a SIL 3 safety laser scanner, an optional thermal camera, microphone, speaker and touch display. Accuracy is 3 mm in cognitive mode, 1 mm in deterministic mode, with 0.8 mm repeatability. End effectors swap between mechanical gripper, vacuum gripper and humanoid hand.

The BeeOS platform runs VLA-based missions, a voicebot, fleet management and ERP/MES links, and teleoperation is supported. The October 2026 datasheet states IP64 while the website says IPX4, a point to clarify before ordering. Price on request. Oversonic, founded in 2020 with about 110 staff and a second site in Hamilton, Ohio, targets automotive, manufacturing and logistics.
