Dobot LUMO

Dobot announced the LUMO on 5 August 2026 as its first companion humanoid, with a public debut planned for the World Robot Conference 2026. Industry press puts its height at nearly 1.3 m, which places it in the compact class alongside machines such as the EngineAI SA02 rather than among full-size workers.

Dobot describes the LUMO as an embodied all-terrain humanoid that walks on two legs over varied ground and lists multimodal perception, emotional interaction and continuous learning, but gives no numbers for any of these claims. Of the sensing only computer vision and voice interaction are confirmed.

Weight, degrees of freedom, runtime and price are not published, and Dobot's own product page is limited to a case-study text. Third-party databases circulate contradictory estimates for weight and joint count, so this entry carries no figures beyond the height. The intended settings are homes, schools, shopping malls and science museums, meaning companionship and education rather than carrying loads.
