Summary

MATRIX-1 is the first full-size bipedal humanoid from Matrix Robotics, a start-up led by CEO Allen Zhang whose website names no headquarters. The robot is 180 cm tall and weighs 67 kg. It is driven by 55 in-house MPA 3.0 actuators with a peak torque density of 196 N·m per kilogram; note that 55 is the actuator count, as the maker does not state a total number of joints.

Third-generation five-finger hands offer 22 degrees of freedom with tactile sensing, and each arm lifts 10 kg. Two speeds appear on the product page, 1.2 m/s in the overview table and 7.6 km/h in the detailed list, so both are recorded here. A 2.28 kWh battery lasts about 5 hours, fast charging takes 45 minutes and the robot returns to a charging dock on its own.

Manufacturer imagery shows workshop and factory scenes, with industry, logistics and care named as target fields. The status is prototype because the page labels the robot as coming soon; price on request. Its successor, announced in January 2026, is the MATRIX-3, and a direct rival in the 180 cm class is the MagicBot X1.
