Summary

The dual-form humanoid of Harbin Institute of Technology, called DexBot in English-language sources, was released on 30 December 2025 by the team of professors Fu Yili and Ni Fenglei in cooperation with the listed company BOSHIAC. The project exists in two body forms: a bipedal version for inspection and disaster sites and a wheeled version for indoor use.

Both rely on in-house joint modules, a rotary joint that lifts 5 kg at 5 kg own weight and a linear joint delivering up to 10,000 N. The seven-axis arms use a serial-parallel hybrid structure with force control. Hands come in two variants, 20 joints with 15 active degrees of freedom or 11 joints with 7 active.

Control is provided by the Huazi-Rixin large model, which understands voice commands, breaks tasks into steps and fuses vision, force and language data. Height, weight and total degrees of freedom have not been published, and pricing is on request.

According to BOSHIAC's investor replies of July 2026, the patents and prototypes belong to Lingbo Robotics, in which the team led by Qi Le holds 88 percent and the institute's asset company 12 percent; BOSHIAC holds no stake and considers industrialisation not yet achieved. Status: research. The American Borg 01 takes a similar two-base approach.
