LG Electronics, the Korean electronics group founded in Seoul in 1958 and listed as KRX:066570, treats humanoid and home robotics as an early-stage project, not a product line. Three items are described here: the LG Q9 and CLOiD, two bipedal or wheeled concepts of an AI home manager shown at CES 2024 and IFA 2024, and a bipedal humanoid announced for 2027 and based on an Nvidia platform.

None has sales status; all remain concepts or prototypes with no confirmed price or launch date. That sets LG apart from Samsung or Xiaomi, which in the similar segment of home AI assistants more often announce concrete rollout dates. By comparison, its Korean rival Hyundai (through Boston Dynamics) already has humanoid models on sale, and against that background LG is clearly in the announcement phase.

Availability in Poland: none, the products are not commercial.

History and development

LG Electronics, the Korean electronics group founded in Seoul in 1958 and listed as KRX:066570, approaches humanoid and home robotics as an early-stage project, not a product line. The first signal came in January 2024: at CES the company showed the Q9 concept, a bipedal, wheeled robot manager for the smart home, repeated at IFA 2024. LG said then that it intended to commercialize it the following year, but as of September 2026 there has been no price, no specification sheet and no launch date. In January 2026 the CLOiD debuted at CES, a wheeled home humanoid with two seven-degree-of-freedom arms, which folded a towel in the promotional video. In August 2026 the company announced a bipedal humanoid on an NVIDIA platform, to be shown in early 2027. LG has experience in service robotics through its CLOi line, but this is only its first announced bipedal humanoid. Industry context: “Humanoid Robot Market Forecasts”. This patience has a price: the first commercialization pledge, made two years ago, was not fulfilled, and each further showing is only a fitting.

Portfolio

None of the three items has sales status. LG Q9 is a concept from CES 2024: a bipedal home-manager robot on wheels with a camera and an air quality and humidity sensor, with no physical work capability shown. LG CLOiD is a prototype from CES 2026: a wheeled base, a tilting torso, two seven-degree-of-freedom arms with five-fingered hands and a head with a processor, display, speaker and camera; the manufacturer does not state weight, height, payload or price. LG Bipedal Humanoid is an announcement: a bipedal humanoid on the NVIDIA Jetson Thor platform (NVIDIA Jetson) and the Isaac GR00T foundation model, with no physical parameters at all. From the CLOi line, service robots are also known: according to the US distributor, the ServeBot costs USD 17,900 and the GuideBot with two 27-inch screens costs USD 39,990. Categories: “Home robots” and humanoid robots. Importantly, none of these machines has a price or launch date yet, let alone a Polish price list. It is best to treat them as a signal of direction, not as an offer. Remember that these are plans and demos, not products.

Market position

LG belongs to a row of electronics groups that are testing a home robot but prefer announcing visions to announcing dates. Its direct rival Samsung Electronics shows the Samsung Ballie in a similar segment, and Xiaomi appears in our coverage with the CyberOne humanoid and the CyberDog 2 quadruped. Its Korean neighbor Hyundai, through Boston Dynamics, already sells robots and has contracted volumes, so against that background LG is clearly in the announcement phase. Its assets are the brand, an extensive distribution network for home appliances and the choice of a mature computing stack instead of its own chips. The risk is a years-long lag between concept and product: the Q9 remained a concept for two years. What working humanoids actually cost is shown in “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”. Nvidia itself, as the supplier of the computing platform, ties LG to the same technology others rely on, Boston Dynamics with the Atlas among them, as we describe in the profile of Boston Dynamics.

Presence in Poland

Availability in Poland: none. LG's humanoid and home robots are not commercial products, so there is no Polish price list, distributor or offer. No Polish deployments have been found either. The only thing one can do today is follow CES 2027 and announcements from LG's Polish subsidiary. For the general picture of robots' role in homes: homes. If LG ever puts a robot on sale in Europe, it will be a signal of change for the Polish market, because the group has an extensive retail network for home appliances. For now that is only a hypothesis, not an announcement. Interested readers can follow announcements from the company's Polish branch.

Editorial verdict

LG is a promising brand without a product. The Q9, the CLOiD and the 2027 humanoid are presentations, not an offer, and they have neither a price nor a date. For a reader looking for a home robot to buy, LG does not exist today; for a market observer it is a signal that big players are entering the segment. We will return to the assessment once any specification sheet appears. This is a brand to watch, not to order.
