Vesoma 1 is the planned first humanoid of Vesoma, a startup based in Munich and Limassol that was founded in December 2025 by Nikolai Ensslen, founder of the drive specialist Synapticon, and Peter Skoromnyi of Easybrain. Martin Riedmiller, formerly a researcher at DeepMind, serves as Chief AI Officer.

The company employs more than 60 people and operates a laboratory of over 3,500 square metres, according to its own figures from 22 September 2026. The robot is still under development: the maker says alpha units are already in the lab, and the chief executive has described the design as complete with the first units being built.

Images on the company site are design visualisations rather than photographs of a finished machine. No specification has been published, so height, weight, degrees of freedom, carrying capacity, runtime, sensors and hand type are unknown, and even the basic layout, legged or wheeled, has not been revealed.

What is known is the software philosophy: the robot is meant to learn physical work through its own trial and error, in other words reinforcement learning, rather than by replaying recorded human motion. Target applications are physical labour in logistics, manufacturing and warehouses. No price exists. Another European maker, Neura Robotics, already sells 4NE-1.
