North is the full-body humanoid of Singapore-based Sharpa, unveiled in January 2026 at CES, where it ran fully autonomous fine-manipulation demonstrations for four days, eight hours a day.
The maker states 67 degrees of freedom and tactile Wave W01 hands, which the press release credits with 22 active degrees of freedom and a response time below 0.02 s. Control relies on CraftNet, described as a reflex system for contact-rich manipulation that fuses vision, touch, language and action.
The weight of about 60 kg comes from the dealer Roboticscenter.ai, where the robot is listed on backorder with pricing on request. Height, payload, runtime, computer and the type of base are not described by the maker, so it cannot be said whether North moves on wheels or legs. A production version was announced for mid-2026.
The only named deployment is a shift at a Dairy Queen store in Shanghai, which justifies the pilot status. Target sectors are restaurants, retail, industry and research. The smaller D01 from the same company has 66 degrees of freedom, adjustable height and a fully documented sensor suite. Price on request.
