Summary

Tactile arrays of 240 by 240 points in every fingertip set the Wave W01 from Singapore-registered Sharpa apart; some listings call it SharpaWave. The sensors resolve 0.02 N at 1 mm spacing, refresh at 180 frames per second, report six-axis force and torque with 20 ms latency and are rated for more than 100,000 presses.

Inference on the tactile data can run on the host or on board, and the raw image is available to the user. Mechanically the hand is human-scale at 208 x 90 x 50 mm and 1.3 kg, with 22 active degrees of freedom from 22 proprietary actuator modules inside the hand.

The maker claims a 40 kg payload, 150 N grip, 20 N fingertip force, 4 Hz open-close cycling, ±1 mm repeatability, a 10 mm minimum grasp diameter and over one million cycles of life. It connects over 1000BASE-T Ethernet at 500 Hz and runs on 18 to 28 V. Sharpa pairs it with its own Droid D01 humanoid. Price on request.

The Wave W01 SE is the cost-reduced edition with coarser touch, the Wave W02 the compact sibling, and XHAND1 Pro a fully actuated rival with far fewer tactile points.
