Weave Robotics, a San Francisco startup, unveiled its first product in July 2026: Isaac 1, a household humanoid that moves on wheels rather than legs. The robot stands 175 cm tall and has 21 degrees of freedom (DOF), and its tasks include folding laundry, cleaning, making beds and putting away toys.

The consumer price is USD 7,999, clearly cheaper than the announced Tesla Optimus, but a wheeled solution instead of bipedal walking is a compromise: the robot cannot climb stairs or cope with uneven terrain. A similar philosophy, a robot for rent or a simpler, cheaper design instead of a full humanoid, is also being tested by 1X Technologies with its Neo.

Isaac 1's strength is a relatively low entry price and a fast move into the consumer market; its weakness is limited mobility and no verified reliability beyond the manufacturer's own material. The robot is not sold in Poland or in Europe; for now it is a US market with no announced local distribution.

History and development

Weave Robotics is a San Francisco startup that in July 2026 unveiled its first product: Isaac 1, a wheeled home humanoid. That is the only confirmed event in its history so far, because the company is young, and its founding year, website, funding and headcount are not confirmed. From what is known, Weave is entering the consumer market straight away, not the industrial one. It is a bold decision, because a home robot has to meet the expectations of ordinary users, not engineers. The launch came with concrete terms: orders are taken as pre-orders, with a refundable $250 deposit for the waiting list, and first deliveries were announced for autumn 2026 in California. Wider availability in the United States is expected only in 2027. This means Weave's story is only beginning, and there is no data yet on how the robot performs in real homes. The backdrop to this launch is described in “1X Neo Home Robot on Pre-Order”, where a similar pre-order strategy concerns a competitor. Questions about reliability beyond the maker's own material remain open, and the first independent opinions will come only after deliveries.

Portfolio

Weave's portfolio is for now a single product: Weave Isaac 1. Isaac 1 rolls on wheels, and its torso adjusts from roughly 90 to 175 cm, which makes work at low furniture and cabinets easier. It has 21 degrees of freedom (DOF), two arms with two-finger grippers and a soft textile cover that gives it a friendly look. Its privacy protection is distinctive: physical shutters on the head cameras close when the robot is not working and signal to the household that it is not watching the room. This is worth setting against “Data Security: Robots with Cameras and the GDPR”. The battery lasts about 8 hours, and charging takes 2 hours. Tasks are folding laundry, tidying toys and making beds, with optional teleoperator support when autonomy falls short. The purchase price is $7,999, about 31,000 zloty, or from $449 a month with financing. The robot is on pre-order and belongs to home robots, which fits homes well. In the background is the question of the teleoperator's role: optional human support when autonomy fails means some tasks may be carried out remotely, which matters to the user from a privacy point of view.

Market position

Isaac 1 is clearly cheaper than the announced rivals in the home segment. Comparable designs, such as 1X NEO from 1X Technologies or Sunday Robotics Memo from Sunday Robotics, are priced at around $20,000, while Weave asks $7,999, as discussed more broadly in “How Much Does a Humanoid Robot Cost in 2026”. The price is also lower than that of the announced Optimus from Tesla, covered in “Tesla Optimus: What We Actually Know (as of September 2026)”. The strength is therefore the low entry price and a quick move into the consumer market. The weakness is a design compromise: wheels instead of legs mean Isaac 1 will not climb stairs or cope with uneven terrain, and its reliability is known only from the maker's material. Availability is also limited, because the first deliveries cover California only. Weave's position is therefore promising on paper but untested in practice. For a buyer, what matters above all is whether the promise of an inexpensive home humanoid is kept after the first deliveries.

Presence in Poland

In Poland, Isaac 1 cannot be bought for now. The robot is not sold in Poland or in Europe, and the maker has announced no local distribution. The market it serves is for now the United States, with first deliveries in California in autumn 2026. We know of no Polish dealers or deployments. Anyone who still considers importing should remember customs, tax, the lack of local service and the fact that a robot with cameras in the home is subject to data-protection rules, as covered in “Data Security: Robots with Cameras and the GDPR”. It is wiser to wait for developments than to order blind.

Editorial verdict

Isaac 1 is an interesting, inexpensive home robot with privacy protection in the form of camera shutters. Wheels limit it on stairs, and nobody has yet checked its reliability beyond the maker's material. Unavailable in Poland, for now a US-only pre-order. It is sensible to wait for the first independent tests from Californian homes before treating this price as a true bargain. For the Polish reader it is for now an announcement, not an offer.
