Han's Robot, a subsidiary of the Chinese laser group Han's Laser, based in Shenzhen, makes the Elfin series of cobots, from the E3 to the E15, with payloads from 3 to 15 kg, built on a proprietary two-joint module design with its own reducers, motors and drives.

That sets the company apart from makers who assemble components from outside suppliers and puts it closer to the vertical-integration model known from Universal Robots or Elite Robot, though at a clearly lower price, typical of second-wave Chinese cobots. Applications include assembly, handling and positioning of parts, welding, grinding and spray painting.

Three variants are on offer, the Elfin E3, E10 and E15, all on sale. No data is available on the founding year of Han's Robot itself, its funding or headcount; the sources are price portals and the robotics24.net product catalog. Presence in Poland is not directly confirmed, though Chinese cobots of this class reach Poland through regional integrators.

History and development

Han's Robot is a subsidiary of Han's Laser, a powerful Chinese laser group, and is based in Shenzhen. That lineage explains its approach: instead of assembling robots from other people's components, the company designs its own two-joint modules with proprietary reducers, motors and controllers. The Elfin series of cobots grew out of that idea. The founding year of the company itself, its funding and its headcount are unknown; the sources are price portals, among them a third-party aggregator, and the robotics24.net product catalog. So we have no chronicle of events or model launch dates, and we do not want to guess them. What is known is that Elfin is a series from the E3 to the E15, with payloads from 3 to 15 kg, and that three variants are on sale here: the E3, E10 and E15. The maker's applications include assembly, handling and positioning of parts, welding, grinding and spray painting. The basics of working with such arms are explained in “What Is a Cobot and How Does It Differ from an Industrial Robot”, and the difference from classic industrial robots in “Cobot or Industrial Robot”. The tie to a laser group suggests natural uses in machining, but we have no document to confirm that, so we stick to what the maker's description says.

Portfolio

The three models form a payload ladder, all six-axis and electric. The Han's Robot Elfin E3 is the smallest: 4 kg payload, 590 mm reach, 18 kg weight, for light assembly and pick and place. The Han's Robot Elfin E10 carries 12 kg and weighs 43 kg; it is the middle of the range, for assembly, packing and welding. The family also includes an E10-L variant with a lower 10 kg payload and a longer 1300 mm reach. The Han's Robot Elfin E15 is the strongest of those covered: 18 kg payload, 1300 mm reach, 60 kg weight, intended for palletizing and handling heavy parts. Only the E12 in the series has a longer reach, 1800 mm, and we have not yet covered it. No prices appear in the sources; the portals show only "price on request." All three belong to the category “Cobots” and work mainly in factories. Further data, such as exact repeatability or ingress protection ratings, the maker gives in catalog sheets that must be downloaded from a distributor; how to read them is explained in “How to Read a Robot Datasheet”. Note the differences in weight: 18, 43 and 60 kg rise sharply along with payload.

Market position

Vertical integration, meaning its own reducers, motors and drives, puts Han's Robot closer to the model known from Universal Robots or Elite Robot than to makers that buy components from outside. This is meant to lower production cost, which translates into prices clearly below the leaders', typical of second-wave Chinese cobots. In the lightest segment the rival is Germany's igus with the ReBeL model, a 2 kg payload and a price from about $6,900; the E3 has a higher payload, but with no public price there is nothing to compare. Competitors also named include Doosan Robotics and FANUC, and from Asia JAKA Robotics. There are no named customers and no sales data. A buying guide: “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”. Price remains the unknown, though: where rivals publish price lists, the Elfin shows only a "price on request" note, which makes a fair comparison of first-year costs difficult.

Presence in Poland

Presence in Poland has not been directly confirmed: neither an authorized distributor nor a price list in zloty was found. The sources only suggest that Chinese cobots of this class reach Poland through regional integrators, so an interested customer should ask their own integrator whether it has access to the Elfin series and to service. Without local support you have to count on import, customs duty and handling warranty claims yourself. The possibility of tax deductions when buying a robot is described in “Poland's Robotization Tax Relief” (Poland's robotization tax relief, ulga na robotyzację). A buyer should also ask about warranty and parts availability, because that cannot be judged from a catalog.

Editorial verdict

Han's Robot is a sensibly designed family of cobots with its own drives, but opaque as a market player: no prices, no dates and no Polish sales channel. It will work for integrators who already deal with it. For a first purchase, it is safer to choose a brand with local service. It is worth watching as a cheaper alternative, but only after service in Poland is confirmed. If an integrator proposes the Elfin, ask for the catalog sheet, a price in zloty and confirmation of service.
