Summary

Unveiled on 19 August 2026 at the World Robot Conference in Beijing, ATOM is the first humanoid from Vbot, a consumer robotics company previously known for a robot dog that needs no remote control. The technical data come from Xinhua's coverage of the launch, since the maker's own website still shows only the dog. The robot stands 1.6 m tall with an arm span of 1.8 m and 95 cm legs.

Its body has 31 degrees of freedom: 2 in the head, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist and 12 in the legs. A fabric shell, a face screen and quiet soles mark it out as a machine designed for living rooms, much like 1X NEO. Weight, carrying capacity, runtime and walking speed have not been disclosed.

The software runs on Vbot's own agent-based operating system; Chinese press names a D-Robotics S100P chip, which no manufacturer material confirms. Target settings are homes, retail, offices and public service, offered in Personal, Enterprise and Developer editions. Pre-orders opened at launch and deliveries are targeted for the end of 2026, so the catalogue lists ATOM as a prototype.

No price has been given; the 49,988 CNY figure seen online belongs to a different Vbot product, the Big Head EDU-W. The maker cites no safety certification.
