Unitree's entry-level hand for the G1 and R1 humanoids is the Dex2/5. The name says it all: two motors move five fingers. Ten joints are driven through gears and tendons, one motor for the thumb and one that closes the four remaining fingers together, so individual finger motion is not possible. The reward is a weight of only 365 g in a 151 by 70 by 63 mm envelope.
Unitree rates the payload at 1.5 kg for a 5 cm cylinder, the fingertip force at 15 N and the smallest graspable object at 8 mm. Each joint reports position, speed, torque, temperature, voltage and current; there are no tactile sensors. The hand communicates over RS485 at 1,000 Hz and accepts 24 to 60 V. According to the maker it has survived more than 100,000 fatigue cycles and over 100 drop tests.
The product page lists no price, so it is on request. Within the same family, Dex3-1 adds force control and tactile arrays with three fingers, while Dex5-1 offers 20 degrees of freedom for research-grade manipulation on Unitree G1.
