ugo Nova is a Japanese wheeled semi-humanoid that the Tokyo company ugo unveiled on 16 September 2026 at the Physical AI Summit in Tokyo; the prototype took about six months to build and mass production is planned for 2027. A mecanum-wheel base with four drive axes moves at 0.4 to 3.6 km/h, handles slopes of about 5 degrees and steps of about 1 cm.
A 350 mm lift varies the height from 126 to 162 cm; the robot weighs about 100 kg and measures 56 x 65 cm in width and depth. Its 22 degrees of freedom break down into two 7-DoF arms, single-axis two-finger hands, a two-axis head and a four-axis waist. The arms reach 843 mm, lift 10 kg together or 4 kg each, and are controlled at 100 Hz. The tactile hands are swappable and YUBI-compatible.
Sensing comes from a stereo camera in the head and an RGB camera in each hand; an NVIDIA Jetson Thor does the computing, and the software stack combines ROS 2, LeRobot compatibility and the company's Physical AI Fabric data pipeline. A 50.6 V, 22 Ah LiFePO4 battery gives about 6 hours; the website quotes a 2.5-hour charge, the CEO 1.5 hours in an interview. Price on request.
A similar concept on the same compute module is the Taiwanese TM Xplore I.
