Summary

MIRO U is the third-generation humanoid that Midea Group, the Chinese appliance maker that also owns KUKA, develops for its own plants rather than for sale. It was shown on 5 December 2025 at the Greater Bay Area New Economy Forum in Guangzhou.

The layout breaks with convention: a human-like head and torso sit on a wheeled base with a lifting system that can turn 360 degrees on the spot, and instead of two arms the robot has six, all fully actuated. The lower pair lifts heavy components while the upper pairs do fine assembly and screw-driving, so the machine can run three tasks at once. End effectors swap quickly.

Midea describes it as the execution agent inside its AI-driven manufacturing system. Pilot use is under way at the company's washing-machine plant in Wuxi, where line changeovers are expected to become about 30 percent faster. Height, weight, carrying capacity, joint count and sensors have not been disclosed; every detail comes from trade press, as no Midea press release could be found.

The robot is in-house only and has no price. A conventional two-armed wheeled industrial humanoid, by contrast, is the MagicBot D1.
