The smallest and oldest of the iisy cobots described here, the R760, has been on sale since 2019, longer than the 11 kg and 15 kg variants introduced in 2022. A payload limited to 3 kg and a reach of 760 mm point it toward light assembly and pick-and-place tasks, not palletizing heavy parts like the larger models in the same family.

Its repeatability of 0.1 mm is numerically higher (that is, less precise) than the 0.05 mm declared for the 11 R1300, though for such light assembly work this is usually no practical limit. Control is via the KR C5 micro-2 controller, dedicated to KUKA's compact cobots.

The price at the German distributor unchainedrobotics.de is €23,445 net; the manufacturer does not publish one itself, but this list price allows a direct comparison with competing light cobots from other brands. The R760 is available in Poland through the distributor zapamet.pl.

It is an option for small and mid-sized plants entering light-assembly automation, where budget and compact dimensions count for more than maximum load capacity.

Running and deployment costs

The manufacturer does not publish a price. The German distributor unchainedrobotics.de lists €23,445 net, or about PLN 102,620 at the 4.3770 rate of 1 October 2026. For comparison: the iisy 6 R1300 costs about PLN 122,928 (≈ EUR 28,170) (€28,085) in our price comparison, and the ABB GoFa CRB 15000 about PLN 147,724 (≈ EUR 33,850), so the iisy 3 is the cheapest in this set, but still over PLN 100,000 (≈ EUR 22,910). The Polish price and availability depend on zapamet.pl.

As a rough estimate, beyond the robot: gripper, feeders, workstation, integration and commissioning can together cost as much as the arm, which is why the whole bill is what counts (“Humanoid Robot TCO: How to Calculate Total Cost” describes the calculation method using a humanoid as the example, but the TCO logic is the same). Training: a few days for the programmer and operator.

Poland's robotization tax relief (ulga na robotyzację) allows you to deduct an additional 50% of qualifying costs (years 2022 to 2026, an extension has been announced). Whether a cobot meets the definition of an "industrial robot" is for an advisor to decide (“Poland's Robotization Tax Relief”).

Applications

What it's for

The KUKA LBR iisy 3 R760 is the smallest cobot in the iisy family: 3 kg payload, 760 mm reach, six axes, torque sensors, and control by the KR C5 micro-2 controller. It goes into light assembly and pick-and-place tasks, not into palletizing heavy parts.

A robot of this class takes over the repetitive lifting and placing of small parts, while the human stays with the operations that call for feel. 3 kg is enough for small parts with a gripper (for example from the OnRobot range), and the compact controller makes it easier to set up a cell in a cramped hall (factories).

The German brand is an argument for those who want a single supplier across the plant: KUKA also offers mobile platforms, such as the KUKA KMP 600P. Within the iisy family you can choose larger variants: the KUKA LBR iisy 6 R1300 (6 kg), the KUKA LBR iisy 8 R930 and the KUKA LBR iisy 11 R1300 (11 kg). If you are just starting out, read “Cobot or Industrial Robot”, and for a safe cell see “Robot Safety Standards”.

Who it's for

Yes: for small and mid-sized plants entering light-assembly automation, where compact dimensions and budget count more than maximum load capacity. Yes for companies that want a Polish distributor: the model is available through zapamet.pl.

No: for jobs above 3 kg including gripper and part; the iisy 6 or 11 will do there. No for laboratories that need seven axes and open access to torque control; for them there are the KUKA LBR iiwa 7 R800 or the Kinova Gen3. No for those looking for the cheapest entry: the price is higher than for some competitors. Buying guide: “How to Buy a Cobot Step by Step”.

Deployments

What is confirmed is availability: the iisy 3 R760 is offered by the Polish distributor zapamet.pl, so you can buy it locally, but we found no references from specific halls.

We described typical cobot tasks in cobots and in the overview “Polish Robotics Companies”. Manufacturer: KUKA.

Comparison

UR3e: also 3 kg; the UR brand has confirmed sellers in Poland (elmark.com.pl) and an extensive accessory ecosystem.

JAKA Zu 3: 3 kg and 626 mm reach; prices unknown, no confirmed distributor in Poland.

Doosan A0509: 5 kg payload and 21 kg dead weight; more payload in a similar product class, with Polish support described in “Doosan Robotics: Cobots from the Korean Maker in Poland”.

Techman TM5-700: a cobot with built-in camera and a 6 kg payload, available in Poland through tfm-robotics.pl.

KUKA LBR iisy 6 R1300: if you want to stay with the brand but need 6 kg: about PLN 122,928 (≈ EUR 28,170).

History

The iisy 3 R760 has been on sale since 2019 and is the oldest variant of the iisy family, available longer than the 11 kg and 15 kg versions introduced in 2022. Its repeatability is 0.1 mm, slightly less than the 0.05 mm declared for the iisy 11 R1300, which in light assembly usually doesn't get in the way. In June 2023 KUKA announced the autonomous mobile platform KMP 1500P (KUKA KMP 1500P), an important direction in which a cobot can ride on a platform. We have left out the company's founding year and headquarters.
