HIVA Haiwa

Haier, the Chinese home-appliance group founded in 1984, revealed its own household humanoid on 26 July 2025. HIVA Haiwa stands 165 cm, weighs 70 kg and has 44 degrees of freedom; instead of legs it rolls on a wheeled platform, and its five-finger hands are described by the maker as dexterous. The arms reach up to 2 m, enough for upper kitchen cabinets.

The demonstrated chores mirror Haier's product catalogue: cleaning floors, cooking with Haier appliances, loading the washing machine, ironing and folding laundry. One caveat matters for anyone assessing the robot: the chores shown at the launch were teleoperated by engineers as part of data collection, so autonomous housework has not been demonstrated. No launch date has been announced.

HIVA Haiwa succeeds the Little Star robot that Haier presented with ROBOTERA at AWE 2025. Haier maintains no public product page; the dimensions above come from two independent secondary reports that agree, while further figures such as runtime or hand axes remain unconfirmed.
