AIDOL made headlines worldwide when it fell after a few steps during its stage debut in Moscow on 10 and 11 November 2025, yet the Russian maker has published a complete specification sheet, which is unusual in this class. The bipedal humanoid is 186 cm tall and weighs 95 kg. It has 67 degrees of freedom, including 14 in each five-finger hand of in-house design and six in the neck.
It carries 10 kg, moves at up to 6 km/h, or 1.67 m/s, and runs six hours on a 48 V battery. Its distinctive feature is a silicone face with 19 servos and tendons that reproduce 12 basic emotions; seven microphones support speaker and face recognition. A GPU-based compute module works both online and offline, and dialogue is handled by the company's own local AIDOL AI.
According to the maker, 77 percent of the components are Russian-made, and the software was registered with Rospatent in 2025. Production, logistics, banks and airports are the intended markets; a desktop version also exists. Pricing is on request and the status is prototype.
Combining a realistic face with a full walking body is rare; the British Engineered Arts Ameca focuses on facial expression but does not walk, and the Turkish AKINCI-5 has yet to publish any figures.
