Weight and price are the selling points of the XHAND1 Lite from Beijing-based ROBOTERA. The hand comes in at 730 g and 209 x 84 x 32 mm, with six active degrees of freedom driven by six in-hand motors and five passive ones, eleven in total. A backdrivable linkage transmission lets the fingers be pushed from outside, while current control caps the force.
The fingertip carries 12 N, open-close cycling exceeds 2 Hz, repeatability is ±0.2 mm, the smallest graspable diameter is 12 mm and damping is quoted below 0.1 N s/m. ROBOTERA rates it for 1,000,000 no-load cycles. Position control with low or high damping and current control are built in; communication runs over EtherCAT at 100 Mbit/s or RS-485 at 3 Mbit/s via USB.
Sensing covers joint position and current only, no tactile layer. The retailer AIFit Lab lists it at 6,000 USD as of October 2026. Buyers who need touch feedback should look at the 21-DOF XHAND1 Pro from the same family, or at the 12-DOF XHAND1 with its fingertip arrays.
