Summary

The Robbyant R1 is the first service humanoid from Robbyant, the embodied-AI subsidiary of China's Ant Group. Presented in September 2025, it drew attention by frying shrimp at IFA 2025 in Berlin and also appeared at the Inclusion Conference in Shanghai.

The dual-arm robot on a wheeled base stands 1.6 to 1.75 m according to press reports, weighs about 110 kg, has 34 degrees of freedom and moves at less than 1.5 m/s. Perception is multimodal and camera-based; the maker has not published the computer, runtime or payload. The R1 entered mass production and was being delivered to early clients in autumn 2025, among them the Shanghai History Museum.

Use cases cover kitchens, museum guiding, hospitality, medical assistance and public services. It is sold exclusively as a bundled scenario solution, so there is no unit price. The company website now lists only the successor R2, which carries 6 kg per arm, weighs under 120 kg, runs about 4 hours and uses swappable batteries; the R1 figures therefore come from the trade press.

A comparable service profile with five-finger hands is offered by the ROBOTERA Q5.
